    This weghorst experiment is up there with van gaal insistence on rooney as midfielder, he offers sod all.

    Bruno is too erratic it works for a top 4 team but not for a team looking to win trophies.

    Fred is the same, one good game followed by a bad game and today is that bad game again.

    Forgot sancho was on the pitch...
     
    How many times down the years have we been done by teams in European comps playing like this? Concede a soft goal and then struggle to get any rhythm going due to the other teams shithousery and a weak ref. Couple that with 2,3 even 4 of your team being anonymous and it’s game over if things stay as they are. ETH got some changes to make. And the sooner the better, not on the 60 minute mark or after- on for the second half. If Wout walks out for the second half we’re fecked.

    It’s not that anyone’s had a stormer, it’s that when you play with essentially a fan upfront in a tight game it gives even less opportunities for others to contribute because he’ll offer nothing.

    The same reason our attack looks magically better whenever Martial is fit even if he doesn’t score/create much. At least Bruno and Sancho have a CHANCE at doing something at any given moment. Weghorst doesn’t. Ffs the Bruno chance should have been a tap in but Weghorst literally couldn’t beat man on his run.
     
    Bruno has to bury that early opportunity. He's not quick enough to be playing out on the right-wing.

    Antony needs to come on for the second-half.
     
    Hope people in the DDG thread acting like there's nothing wrong with him are paying attention to this Ter Stegen performance. Barca players give him the ball under pressure and he bails them out. He's pinging 40 yard passes like it's nothing while De Gea boots it straight to De Jong on the edge of the box.
     
    Soft pen. Good pressing early on, we had the chances but fell to the wrong players. Then Barcas confidence grew.

    We need to get Rashford into this game
     
    Both Sancho and Wout have to be at risk of being subbed. Hopefully ETH tells them what they need to do in 2nd half

    Because that’s all they need to do. They’re winning. By “passing it sideways on the halfway line a bit” they’ve had 60% possession which has led to us being unable to find Rashford in dangerous positions at all
     
    Can't believe people are saying that's not a penalty. Put away your bias for a second. Fernandes grabs his arm and keeps a hold of it, pulling it around his back, forcing his body to turn while he's trying to run for the ball.

    Yeah he throws himself to the ground at the end, but he was 100% impeded in getting to the ball. Very obvious penalty, what the feck was Fernandes thinking
     
    Eleven players playing with nosebleeds here. One in particular gushing out of both nostrils.

    Just not turned up at all and it has killed the crowd. That Bruno moment of madness sucked the atmosphere right out.

    With possession? Because that's all they have, and that was always going to be the case.

    We've been completely outplayed, if Barca were just a bit better they'd be at least a couple of goals ahead
     
    I don’t think people realise how limiting Weghorst is here. Balls like the one Rashford tried to play to him are a must against a decent defence. He’s practically incapable of running onto a pass.

    Well he can carry a championship team, he's clearly not a United level player. I'm sick of him. You can't do a great game and then be moronic week in week out. Problem is people here got used to these standards. Can't dictate the tempo, does the most stupid things, gives the ball away, has stupid gestures against his teammates, misses chances he can't miss.

    I'm an official ANTI Bruno. Will celebrate the day he is out of this team.
     
    Barcelonas penalty was a clear penalty. Redcafe would be losing their minds if the roles were reversed and we didnt get it, dont lie.

    We got absolutely no one to blame but ourselves for the mess we are in at HT
     
    Well it's been a bit crap, 40% possession. Bruno scores in first few mins different story. They get the softest of pens and they look like controlling. 2nd half I can't watch it try and listen somehow or I follow it on here.
     
    Casemiro passing has been sloppy today too with only 61% pass completion.

    Looking at some of the indivdual stats and there isn't an individual weak link as everyone is losing possession and making silly mistakes.

    You seem to watching slow-mo replays. Such pulling backs happen all the time.
     
    Very easy for Barcelona. They are pressing well and recovering very quickly.
    Do you need more in midfield, if you have any, to delay Bruno a bit to receive the ball?
    The penalty is very naive but I think it is.

    Just randomly looking across news and minute by minute commentaries, cannot find a single one saying it wasn't a penalty. It was a penalty then and its still a penalty, your blinkers won't change that.

    Keep digging that hole, I saw tons of people and even commentator saying it was not, but keep that biased double down. You are doing great!
     
    We still have a whole half to correct this score line.

    But, it was so weird for me to come and vent that why he had to change the set-up from the first game. Now we are pumping the ball up front to a striker who is slow and not effective at playing as a striker...

    The less we talk about Sancho at no 10, the better at this moment.

    The referee wasn't "conned". His consultancy will be rewarded in due time.
     
    We had negative ball carrying and hold up play. Bruno wide should be reconsidered as situational. Weghorst should be reconsidered period
     
    Horrible ref and he is indeed making our life very difficult at the moment.

    Still we can turn it around, Weghorst out, Rashford as 9, Garnacho in. Sancho's head is not completely in this game, maybe Bruno can come in centrally and bring in Antony later.
     
    Poor half, De Gea almost won the tie for Barca with that mistake. I expected Rashford up top with Weghorst behind him, perhaps that would have worked better.

    Seems like we struggle so much vs Spanish opposition, especially at Old Trafford.

    Such a stupid penalty to give away from Bruno, we started the game better but ever since been poor.
