Is Dembele still out?
I don't think your confidence affects the result in any way but here's something to dent it if that's what you're looking for:
The last three times we drew away from home against a Spanish team in the first leg of a European knockout competition, we went on to lose at home: Atlético Madrid 2022, Sevilla 2018, Real Madrid 2013.
2013: we were comfortably better before that dubious red card.I don't think your confidence affects the result in any way but here's something to dent it if that's what you're looking for:

How Exciting for you! We're going to kill it!My first ever game at Old Trafford.
So incredibly excited.
I agree re the Carabao Cup being more important at this moment in time but if we beat Barca there’s no reason we can’t go and win the Europa. As long as we keep Rashford and Casemiro fit for the final against Newcastle I’ll be happy. The Barca game will be a good test but ultimately it is the game against Newcastle that matters more in the medium term with a potential first trophy under ETH. Even if we get past Barca it’s unlikely we will go all the way.
Sure we will get some more team news at the press conferences tomorrow
I envy you . Have a great time and enjoy it. Hopefully final result makes it even better experience for you.My first ever game at Old Trafford.

Yeah you seem to miss a lot mate. Like probably the whole seasonI seem to be the only one who isn’t confident for this
On here, YouTubers etc, everyone thinks we’ll progress quite comfortably. Am I missing something? I know they’ve got a couple of players out but it’s still Barcelona.
We played brilliantly at the nou camp and should've beat them, and now they don't have Gavi or Pedri. We have Martinez and Sabitzer returning meanwhile, are at Old Trafford and full of confidence. You never know, but it's easy to see why United should be favourites here.I seem to be the only one who isn’t confident for this

As I said, I just wanted to give @evil_geko something to worry about because his confidence was starting to... erm, worry him.2013: we were comfortably better before that dubious red card.
2018: we were shite.
2022: we were shite.
We're not actually shite this time around so it's not to illogical to be optimistic.
Good for you. My only time was the EL semifinal against City in 2010. Hope the stadium is as rocking for you as it was for me.My first ever game at Old Trafford.

I actually lost my ticket somewhere during half time, so I couldn't get back to my seat. I ended up hanging out with Wilf McGuinness for the second half. He was a trip. We were in a dining room when Giggs crossed it to Rooney for the goal & I swear I felt the stadium shake. Wilf hooked me up with a selfie with Giggs, losing my ticket actually was a great thing. That was a ridiculously good atmosphere that night.

Lets hope we win it in normal time. Really could avoid extra time before Wembley. If we take our big chances, which there should be a few off, we will be just fine.
We have the home advantage, 2 very important players coming back, 3 very important players of theirs out and we outplayed them last game at their own home ground. Never been more confident.I seem to be the only one who isn’t confident for this

To clarify I get why we’d be confident we can get a result, but I’ve seen/heard a few talk about it like a foregone conclusion. It’s like they’re forgetting away goals don’t count or something.Did you not watch the 1st leg? Why shouldn't we have confidence playing at home when we took it to them at the Nou Camp and now we have a few players back for this one while they are missing key players.
No offense but you sound like a man just came back from the moon mateTo clarify I get why we’d be confident we can get a result, but I’ve seen/heard a few talk about it like a foregone conclusion. It’s like they’re forgetting away goals don’t count or something.
Maybe the scars from 2009 and 2011 are still a bit fresh. No offense but you sound like a man just came back from the moon mate
And yes they removed the away goal rule.
Now I started to wonder if you're a time travelerMaybe the scars from 2009 and 2011 are still a bit fresh.
We've previously been coached to an inferior level leading to them dominating midfield, I include SAF in that but obviously we had an unreal team and a team ethic and motivation but we never looked like the superior team. We look far more "European" under Ten Hag.Why do we always shit ourselves in the second/home leg against Spanish teams. I can think of poor results against Celta Vigo, Valencia, Sociedad, Sevilla, Barcelona, Bilbao, Atletico, Real Madrid in recent years.
I believe he was the ref for our Europa final in 2021.Any idea what he’s like? Surely can’t be any worse than the idiot we had in charge last Thursday!
Equal odds to be equally shit for us and them so whateverAny idea what he’s like? Surely can’t be any worse than the idiot we had in charge last Thursday!
