We’re going to get plenty of counter attack chances second half. We have to get them right and be clinical. Rashford and Bruno no fecking around.

His only defence is that he’s looking out the gantry and not at the same pictures we are watching until he looks down for the replay.

Yeah but even then if you aren't sure, make it a question rather than a statement.

Just seems odd to announce the goal like he did, and I don't remember him correcting himself either

he doesnt need to play well to score... i thought he was terrible against Wolves but scores a last minute winner. Thats the type of player he just is i guess.
Sometimes if you keep trying one will go in. It's when they stop trying it is a problem.

If only Pogba plays like this in all matches. When that man is in form, no one can match that.

    World class!!
He is world class. I know it’s not worked out so far but it’s still crazy (imo) anybody wanting rid of him.

I’ve been shot for it a dozen times but we just need a top level DM next to him or play him from the left.

I bet over the course of a season Pogba would create more than anybody we have from the left side, you can see that in that first half.

Brilliant half of football that was. Credit to Villa for carrying on their good form. But we deserve to be ahead and hopefully should extend the lead and get the points. If only Eric Bailly can stay fit, we could knock off CB from our list of needs. If only...

Deserved lead at half time despite Oliver doing everything in his power to prevent it

Villa have looked dangerous at times, but we've contained them well on the whole. We need to close them down better before they get their crosses in though, been too slow getting out to them

When he stops running seems he goes to his haunches. But yeah the article mentioned him not being able to sit down at a charity function as he was in so much pain. Suppose carrying several million hungry kids takes its toll.

Is he married? Would be a clue for the orgy party guy.

It's been down both sides and through the middle. And Pogba has been excellent in possession threading through quick passes on the left and in the middle, which of course opens up things on the right.
True, maybe I noticed that the right isn’t impotent more :D

Imagine we had two proper wide threats, we would be some side. Not a coincidence rashford goes right and we’re suddenly better that side.

What game is Neville and sky watching. Is he doing that anti United thing to make seem like he isn’t bias shtick again. Villa had the better half? No chance.

Rashford and Pogba have both been good, but I don’t see that we’d lose anything that Pogba does by swapping their positions.

We’d get far more of a goal threat from Rashford, and the goal came from Pogba in that right side position.

Rashford will always be a pure instinct player and no brains. Anytime he has time to think he makes the wrong decision. Anyways I hope we score a second from him preferably so he can get a rest. We play him and bruno way too much.

Grealish is a player who would be a fantastic addition to our squad, but he seems to play very much like Bruno.

How would we play both together, and Pogba is already compromised to accommodate Bruno, how would we play all 3?

I guess, if the Forum gets its wish and Pogba moves on, then Grealish would be a worthy replacement.

2 Brunos would not be bad.

But the problem I see is Grealish would have to play LW displacing Rashford who is at his best as left forward.

    How we playing ?

We’ve been good. Villa are a good side, but they haven’t done much. We’ve looked dangerous going forward a few times, probably should have scored before we did. Wan Bissaka having his best game for us, Martial scoring an instinctive number 9’s goal. Our main issue is some sloppy passing from midfield, especially McT.

We’re going to get plenty of counter attack chances second half. We have to get them right and be clinical. Rashford and Bruno no fecking around.

Definitely need to put Villa way early doors.
I've watched a lot of Villa's games this year and they always finish very strongly.

Fantastic first half. Rivals the one against Leeds at OT. Everyone has been on it today from the start. Apart from some slightly inaccurate passing from midfield, it's been pretty much perfect. We've combined well on both wings and if it was McT hitting the dummied ball from Pogba, the goal would've come much earlier.

Speaking of the goal, great skills from Pogba, quick thinking from Rashford and an excellent finish from Martial. But the star of that goal is AWB. For a player who often looks uncomfortable on the ball, to the point where teammates sometimes ignore him in attacking areas and opponents target him for a press, he didn't let the criticisms get to him and put it on a plate beautifully.

Villa haven't been sitting back but with them chasing we'll have more space to exploit. Hope the defense maintains their concentration and we kill them quickly in the second half.

Rashford is having a bad bad game
His link up play has been good, but when he has the ball he looks a bit confused. Not sure why he’s playing on the right personally as he’s so much better on the left.

maybe they’re worried about him not tracking back with cash overlapping

Can't get over that non-VAR-call on Mings. I mean, in what version of the laws of the game is elbowing a player allowed? I mean, if a guy gets the ball and an elbow flails up, I can see that some refs would not give a foul. But off the ball, nowhere near it even, just flying into a player, elbow first, straight in the face. What possible justification can there be for not giving a foul for that? How does it not fulfill the criteria for a foul, reckless play and endangering the opponent? What more should Mings have done to give away a foul there? Pull his pants down and start pissing on the bleeding area? Get a chainsaw out of his socks and start sawing off Pogba's leg?

Exciting stuff so far. Have to start second half with ferocity, I feel Villa have been growing into the game. Grealish is drifting wide left and causing problems for us because to man-Mark him, we have to play someone out of position. Grealish is going to be the née Sneijder for one that got away, would have been amazing having him in the team.

McFred has been good. Bailly worries me every time he brings the ball to a stop, just invite me calamity.

Definitely need to put Villa way early doors.

Great energy. McGinn is a machine. Was still charging around in the 95th minute against Chelsea.

    Great half.

We'll have opportunities in the 2nd half. We need to take advantage of them when Villa push more players up.

    Just win.

this Vila team is really amazing! But they will tire out very soon when chasing a goal down, because of the way they play.
McFred are superb today. Win many many duels and second balls.
Pogba finally stands up and tracks back. Bailly is calm but angry with McGrinn. That’s understandable. Just hope him keep cool in second half.
With a half-proper right wing player, AWB is a threat in offense. We need a second goal and defense well in set pieces.
The game is a really good competition. Nice to watch!

Pogba was superb first half. I like this formation because we don't loose much attacking wise but are more solid defensively.

So pleased for AWB, he could have 2 assists today. He is not as bad as some people say.

Nice goal from Martial, looks like a true goalscorer here.

He really said that? Even Jim Beglin says we deserve the lead.
