first time I’ve thought we’re a legitimately good team for years. We did well to get players playing above their level before for sustained periods but this is players playing at their level with real chemistry and some good “patterns of play”

Pretty good. Pogba has been great. Grealish getting freekicks for every slight nudge.
We have been solid defensively, but won’t feel comfortable until we have another goal.That was a good effort for the first half. Shame we can't get to second balls as well as Villa.
Grealish is Ace, can't remember the last time I saw a player and thought he's a united boy in waiting.

Loving it. When they play well, we now have both full-backs, in Shaw and AWB, very capable of attacking and crossing, on both flanks. Sweet!
He did it occasionally last season too. He had 3 assists in the league which isn’t actually that bad. Got one against City I seem to remember. It’s actually his poor control and susceptibility to the press that concerns me more. He just needs to be encouraged to attack their full back when he’s one on one. He’s got the ability.
Mings smacked Pogba with an elbow while nowhere near the ball, making him bleed, and VAR looked at it and said legal. I'd say there's some bias towards them.Good half, the goal was very important, puts us in control and forces their hand.

Formation is spot on, Pogba is in the right mood and position. Baily is in beast mode.Good energy and effort but we're giving the ball away way too cheaply, way too often once more. This insistence on always trying a long killer ball over the top... we're letting Villa peg us back by simply giving possession back.

I hate that twat almost as much as Mike Dean. Useless ref that let Villa commit snide fouls all game and punished us for smaller infractions and no action taken against that absoloute weapon MingeBailly in and playing well makes us better at stopping danger at source compared to passive Lindelof. To be fair he is helped by 2 cm and Pogba doing more solid defensive work than usual.I think Grealish would look a better player if he stayed on his feet more!
