Looks like Casemiro and Evans at CD again.

Yes that centre back pairing again. Wasn't pretty against Palace not worth thinking how such a pairing will do against Arsenal on Sunday.

If I was Casemiro I'd refuse to play at CB, he's clearly trying to be professional and doing what the manager asks him to, but been made to look a fool by Ten Hag, and he deserves better.

You're giving him credit I really don't think he deserves after some seriously dreadful performances in his own position this year.

I sincerely doubt the manager said just dive in every time the ball gets near you. Surely a player with his experience knows that if you don't have the pace, you just back off a bit. At least after the first 4 times when it didn't work.

Can they avenge the 8-2 defeat? Seems like the perfect timing for that.

The one remaining game this season that it wouldn't be a disaster if we lost given the league race. So we probably fluke a win here and lose the rest of them.

I remember heading up to Old Trafford v Arsenal in 2016 where people were giving us no chance and saying how we'd be battered.

Very similar scenario looking at it. Us hapless, Arsenal going for the title.

We had Carrick and Blind at centre back, Varela and Rojo at full back!
Lingard, Depay and an unknown Rashford up front!

Arguably the worst ever premier league bench we've fielded...

    And what happened?

So very similar situation, let's hope for a similar result!

Surely he’ll play McTominay at CB? I can’t see him trying the same back line as he did against Palace.

Depending on the Fulham City game I wouldn't mind a loss too much to be honest.

We need the new Rashford to play then.

I am really in 2 minds about this , win and it hands City the PL title and gives them 4 on the bounce, but in reality give us nothing but 3 points , which lets be honest does nothing for us, we will still be on course for our worst PL finish ever.
Lose and we dont hand City the PL they have to win it themselves.

In a way it feels a bit surreal that Ten Hag will be leading the team out after that Palace result. I think most top level teams would have sacked him after that

But in a way, it’s so weird that I think it’ll work and he’ll get a result

Yes and No, it was not City winning the PL , so winning against Arsenal was a great result.

Manchester United's unfavorable betting odds against Arsenal at home paint a grim as feck picture.

This can go one of two ways - we either lose 3-0 or by a lot more!

We can’t win no matter what happens here. If we win we gift city the title and that’s all they’ll ever be going on about. How we helped them. 3 pts means absolutely nothing to us right now. We’re fighting for nothing. Theirs only 1 winner here, Arsenal are a much more confident team and going for the title they’ll be up for it. Wouldn’t surprise me if they score 3 first half.

We rarely bounce back from a heavy defeat with a win anymore. Alls it does is makes the players less more confident.

Arsenal even bigger losers than in 2016 if they fail to win this.

Yup, McTominay is also injured. With Bruno and Mount out, I have no fecking clue whom we’ll play in midfield.

I think ten Hag should probably go if you are to progress as a team, but fecking hell he’s been absolutely hammered by injuries. Don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it.

That's utter nonsense though. City are odds on to win anyway and their success is with 115 charges sitting in the background, it's fairly meaningless.
You support your own team first. Losing tomorrow and still seeing City stroll the title out is worst of all worlds.

I agree city are odds on thanks to Arsenal losing at Villa but I also think spurs can easily take something of city which swings it back in Arsenals favour. GD could play a huge part and Arsenal won’t think twice about trying to score 5/6 past us. Unlike city who usually calm down after going 3 up. Obviously I’m gonna support us but I’m just saying it’s another pointless game where we’re very unlikely to get anything out of the game. And once city get away with all 115 charges which they will it will make them winning 4 in a row even more unbearable.

Name me any player who has played to their full potential this season? The irony is massive but maybe Maguire and Mctominay are the only ones who have actually played to their consistent best level overall.

It's clear that Casemiro is on the decline in his best position, so for Ten Hag to then ask him to play out of postion, where his limitations are going to be exposed even more is just weird, and it's to Casemiro's credit that he doesn't just refuse to play there.

Ten Hag is clearly stubborn, but I'd be shocked if he asks him to play there again on Sunday,.

Is it illegal to have all our players form a human shield on the goal line and just wait it out until the game is over?

Shouldn't be too hard for baldy to organize.
You'd have to tie Bruno to a post...

    Onana
    Wan-Bissaka Casemiro Evans Dalot
    Amrabat Mainoo
    Garnacho Bruno Mount
    Hojlund

With further injuries to our squad, I think ten Hag will go with:

    Onana
    Dalot Casemiro Evans Wan-Bissaka
    McTominay Mainoo
    Garnacho Bruno Rashford
    Hojlund

    Onana
    Casemiro Evans Wan-Bissaka
    Dalot Mainoo
    Garnacho McTominay Bruno Rashford
    Hojlund

Alternatively, he could put Amrabat in for McTominay.

Arsenal are gonna get arrogant and try to go for goal difference and it'll be Crystanbul all over again.

When I play Super 6, I normally go with my heart whenever we're up against whoever - I always predict United would win by 2 goals at least (hasn't done me a lot of good!).

Today I'm finally at a stage that I'm detached enough to go with my head - I predicted 1-4 :(

I predicted the same and feel I'm being optimistic with that result.

For people selecting both Casemiro and McTom, would it actually be better to switch their positions around?

Casemiro has been woeful in central defence and McTom at least has experience playing there internationally.

At least Bruno and albeit an out of sorts for most of the season Rashford are back in.
I'd take this Rashy over anyone else bar Garnacho out wide.

Don't know what to hope for in this right now.

If we lose it'll definitely make next Sunday a lot more interesting. If we take a point, we're handing City their record fourth title in a row in the process.
