    This is only 1 game though, in the last game he came on and did absolutely nothing for the whole 16 minutes he was on.

    Even if it doesn't work for him here, he's a top level talent in the making that we should always be aspiring to bring in, as opposed to Antony whose game unfortunately isn't even mid-table club standard.

    You can envisage Amad having a solid working relationship with anyone who can play, and moreover, trying to understand how he can make himself useful to said player with his runs, passes and engagements. If you want to play some touch football, and have him at your disposal, how are you ignoring him for someone who cannot string 3 passes together?

    Mind bogglingly bad management. Antony's not even better than him at defending and tracking back, which makes it even worse.

    I don't really understand ETH. A lot of his decisions are irrational and most don't fit together. The treatment of Amad is one of them. Personally I would start Amad and use Antony as a backup for both Bruno and Amad, I also think that Antony makes more sense centrally.

    The double standards are just too annoying from the commentators. Neville saying coming to OT and winning for Arteta is really big, while he spent the first half ploughing into United and also mentioning that it is one of the worst lineups (in years I think he said) we've put out. The media have been abjectly black and white this season, first with Postecoglu (sp) being the best in the world, then Liverpool young players being the second coming, it's tiring.

    I agree buying him was a mistake as we didnt need a right winger we needed a goal scorer, I do think Antony would benefit greatly from having better players alongside him than lazy Rashford and the nowhere near good enough Hojlund though.
     
    The sub I'd like to see here is Forson for McTominay.

    Could say the same for our other front players with a more dynamic right winger at the same time

    Expecting a sub to perform when the entire team has been atrocious in a 0-4 game is ridiculous. He should have been given a chance in pretty much any other game Antony has put in a terrible performance.

    I wouldn't go that far. I think he has a lot of good attributes but yes I've always been frustrated with his decision making. Earlier in the season, he would pop up with an important goal or assist and I would hold my tongue. However, I also understand he's very young playing his first full season with a poor coach.
     
    I really like Amad but there are clear limits still that i suspect people are overlooking due to a dislike of Antony.

    They are actually similar players, both very good at short, neat stuff and making angles in possession, though amad clearly superior at the moment at taking on his man and being less predictable. There isn't though, the gulf that some suggest sadly, but amad has brilliant potential
