Been a good match. We look far more decisive than we have in most of our matches, which is nice to see. We are lacking that composure where it matters most, but it is easy for me to say that from my couch as it isn't easy. Both defenses look like giving away chances, though I think ours is the worse of the two. Our positioning when they break is awful with our guys just running aimlessly it seems. Gonna be a good second half. I think the game will close up some as Wenger will want them to give up less open spaces on the pitch and accept a replay back home. We need to go for the win and I would rather lose going for it than be overly cautious.

Entertaining half. Against good sides, because they try to attack regularly too, we get space to play our game. Against lower half and midtable team it is just a predictable borefest.

We're too narrow in defense, especially Valencia and Rojo. We need to control the game more. Less risky passes. Di Maria looses the ball too often in our own half. Dangerous.

I'd love to see Mata in there but we need Fellaini

Carrick in for Blind is the change I would make. Probably Mata on later on as well for one of Herrera/Fellaini depending on what we need.

Getting Carrick on for someone early in the 2nd half would make me feel confident about our chances, not an easy game to chuck someone coming back from injury into but he would improve our forward passing a lot.

For the first time in a good while, I'm genuinely looking forward to the second half. I'm not sure if we'll win but this is an improvement on what's come before and that's what we've been looking for for a while.

I feel like we'll be in a lot of trouble if the Arsenal wingers can really up their games in the second half. They've occasionally looked dangerous, although it's been sporadic from them mostly.

Its not entirely down to him there no, but he's definitely not supposed to be vacating his position until there is no other choice. When the offensive player is otherwise just onto the goalkeeper. The fullbacks should cover as the last line, not charge out of their position leaving a gaping hole so that the offensive team no longer needs to go through the middle because you've given them a clear and inviting avenue down the side thats a lot easier.

It was a mistake from him for sure, that time it wasn't all his own fault. But the other 4 or 5 times he's been out of position or showing Sanchez inside onto his right foot, thats the issue

It doesnt help that Di Maria shows no interest in defending either. We have a right flank who on the night are utterly clueless of how to defend.

Either we take Valencia off (or put Young on the right to have some more defensive responsibility to help him) or I predict that'll be where Arsenal score again, attacking our *Right flank where we have 2 players who arent going to defend properly

One of our best games this season so far, in terms of attacking football. Great match, can go either way I think. If we score straight after halftime, I think we can easily demoralise Arsenal and win it.
