Good lineup. No complaints but then again I've said that before about a lineup and it went tits up.

    Rafael! He lives!

Herrera should have been behind Rooney with Carrick beside blind but the lack of 'match rhythm' dictates that, I guess.

Can you guys ship Mata back in a little box please?

Arsenal XI to face Man United: Szczesny, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Cazorla, Ox, Ozil, Alexis, Welbeck

If he could just start picking Mata behind Rooney then it would be pretty much my first choice 11. Still, Fellaini v Arsenal might make a certain amount of sense.

7 months in and finally we get LVG's 4-3-3 which he's used his entire career!

This is more like it. Now let's work with this and start putting in some good performances to go with it!

Disappointed not to see Carrick in there, he makes us such a better team. Would of had him in there over Fellaini or Blind.
yeah, I'd like Carrick in there for the extra solidity in CM. Herrera can be a bit loose. Carrick instead of Fellaini, Rooney on his own up top, would be nicely solid.
Too soon for him I guess.

The way both managers fantasise about possession stats this could be the most boring game in the history of the sport.

Decent line up. Been nervous all day but fancy us to scrape this 2-1

It's virtuallythe same team as the last two games.

The lineup looks decent enough except for Valencia.

That performance was blown way out of proportion. City were terrible and without Toure.

I'd agree with that, but the fact remains that Arsenal at long last changed an approach that clearly wasn't working - if it was just a one-off at City, then Arsenal will continue floating around where they have been for ages.

Surprised he's gone for welbeck ahead of giroud. Hopefully welbeck crumbles under the pressure against us and not the other way around.

Their back 4 is very weak though with very little protection, fancy us to score a few tonight. On the flip side, their attack is very good. Sanchez and chamberlain the main danger man IMO.

    ----------- De Gea
    --Valencia---Smalling---Rojo---Shaw
    --------Blind---Herrera---Fellaini
    -----Di Maria----Rooney--Young
