Everyone ridicules McTominay (me included), but it seems he's keeping a world class DM on the bench. Life is funny.

Haven't seen Arsenal play this season so I'll just assume they are shit as usual and they've gotten lucky so far - easy win, 3-1 United!
Sadly, they haven't been shit. They've been impressive. We will need to play with the intensity we had against Liverpool to beat them.

Why are so many people bricking it about Arsenals team? Last season we were in total disarray when we beat them 3-2- they aren’t much different whilst our team is much better! 2-0 UNITED!!!

Been watching them a fair bit and their general play looks really good this season.

Still not quite suck the oxygen out of the room type football that City play but great build up play, great passing and some really good players. (Odegaard, Jesus, Martinelli etc)

I think it's a good test for both sides. They've only come up against bottom half fodder and we have no idea if our team's any better than last year.

Both concerns are true (our defence isn't that great despite a couple of 1-0s) and they aren't as good as their table postion suggests.

I'd personally be happy with a draw.

I actually think we'll win by a couple of goals today. If Antony starts then I think he'll rip them apart. Don't quote me though later when we inevitably get hammered and Antony has a stinker.

You’ll be in for a surprise then. They’ve been brilliant even in pre season. Very well balanced and dangerous. Looking like a well oiled team now. Big contrast to last season.

Loads of people saying this. I can’t understand why.
I can: he’s played well in the last three games.

However, we need to get away from the Jose/Ole “first eleven” concept and start using the squad properly. That will mean that players who “deserve” to start will sometimes get benched or completely rested. It worked for SAF after all.

    Should’ve started Casemiro.

Why do we have 2 GKs on the bench?!

Yesssss Antony let's go. I hope he hits the ground running or else media will eat him alive immediately.

Casemiro not a starter is mind boggling. Surely we didn't spend that much on him to just come on and sure up a game if we are winning.

Also 2 GKs on bench is the stupidest thing ever. No need for Heaton to be taking a place instead of one of the youngsters.

Pumped that Antony is starting, but how the ferk is Casemiro on the bench for this? Mental.

Interesting to keep McTominay Eriksen going. They’ve done well, but I do think we cede too much possession to the opposition with that pairing (and Fernandes ahead).

Hopefully Antony has an absolute stormer.

Hopefully Antony playing will make this a much more exciting game going forward.

It was half tongue in cheek. I get they been good, but I still think we can beat them and there's a bit of doomsaying going around about our chances.

Two keepers on the bench is weird.

Glad to see Antony start but Casemiro must have had a really easy summer if he's still not ready to play.

Cas has been available for 2 games. He will be an undisputed starter within the next few weeks guaranteed. Elanga was always going to be dropped. Rashford is only playing because Martial is injured and Ronaldo wanted out all summer.

Casemiro not starting is annoying, excited to see antony

Ten Hag said after the Leicester game Ronaldo and Casemiro are not fit enough to start yet.
