Why would he stop play though? Arsenal were about to shoot. Nothing cause De gea to fall. Arsenal did nothing. You can't just blow the whistle because a goalkeeper is trying to waste time to relieve pressure. There has to be a reason to blow the whistle.

Looking at the replay, and while it's hard to tell how much pain he was in, it didn't appear to be hard enough for him to go down. It definitely had the vibe of him thinking it was the arsenal lad who stepped on him and hitting the deck.
