We're playing well but what we lack is a real captain to organise us and make sure all the players are switched on to the right threats. Neither goal happens if we have that.

We have been playing some decent stuff but our defense as a whole has been dire. People slate Maguire all the time but at least he made that great tackle on KDB. The second goal is on Lindelof (Foden making him look ridicilous)yet again and is partly to blame for the first. Ive been saying this for years he is BY FAR our worst defender but that isnt saying much these days I guess

All their players are extremely mobile.

They are working harder and in unison. Foden then sprinting like mad to close down the CBs.

Around the 40th minute we had a kick out and pogba won a free kick. But if you pause it just as pogba wins the free kick you will see four city players chasing down the ball whilst we are just standing around. Its been the same since pep started managing barca. we never dominate against his teams. Just fed up about it.

The man the myth the legend. Our captain Harry Maguire.

Sure overall this is more Elangas fault but feck me Harry you are not very good

Worst mistake was not buying him, was making him captain.

That captain status has made him almost undroppable even when he proves games after game that he's shit.

All their players are extremely mobile.

You can tell that Pep has a 'type' when he signs players. And you either fit into that mould or you get shipped out. Their mobility is, unfortunately, far better than ours.

Can see Matić coming on at some point. Other than that we also have Rashford and Lingard as players potentially coming on. Pretty meh options.

I’ve been watching it on Sky World VR (which is brilliant being essentially at the game sat in my living room) so I’ve seen the whole pitch rather than on TV, we’ve setup well and it’s actually been very even, they simply have better players than us, with quicker movement and better touch. If we had a world class centre mid we’d be winning this. Of course, they’re overloading the left and our defending is amateur.

That’s just too simple. Literally what Watford would say about United, if they only had better players and stoppers, if only! We don’t and City were in second gear, still danced around us.

Lindelof looks much better with Varane…almost like he trusts him as partner.

We have made one of the biggest transfer clangers in our history signing slab head for the fee we paid. No chance we are getting rid of him. Hopefully the new manager doesn’t give two shits about his price tag or wage and leaves him out of the team.

We are still in it…our defense is worrying but we have goals in us. Keep Pogba on, add Rashford later in half. Can’t suggest much for the defense with the options we have, we’re getting pulled apart down our right hand side and while I know people pile in on Maguire, he and Lindelof have been particularly slow and weak today.

We've scored, we've had a few other chances, we're playing better. This is a lot more enjoyable to watch than the game at Old Trafford in the fall.

I don't mean City specifically, but rather big games in general. Under Mourinho and Solskjaer, we sat so deep and so narrow, it was like watching lower league opposition in an FA Cup tie.

Nice to see us looking a little more positive and offering something to the game - even if the result doesn't go our way today, this performance had been a significant improvement on the game at Old Trafford earlier in the season.
Well, if you ask a fish to climb a tree it'll look stupid.

Asking our squad to dominate the ball is like the above

Just watched the replay of their second goal and McTominay is just ambling back while 3 City players race past him. Zero awareness.
He always does this, it’s his worst trait. If he busted a gut and was just too slow then fair enough.

Lindelof was at fault but you never hear Maguire’s name mentioned on Sky..

there we go... Scotty to blame for WWII and the bubonic plague. he's the new rooney

Pogba has given the ball away, or been dispossessed quite a few times in the first half.
Unless he can go up a gear and start impacting on the game, I’d take him off no later than the 60th min and get Matic on.
Otherwise we’re going to been ground down and ripped to shreds.

I don't know why any manager would prefer a slow immobile player. I wouldn't have the like of Pogba or McTom in my team.

Bruno can't wait until the end of the game to be 'nice'?

Yeh. We are less mobile, and less physical either.

Isn’t this really just a case of us beating the expectation that City would be slaughtering us 5-0 by HT?
Not really. We're trying to play football, we're not sitting back, shape isn't too bad but unfortunately we don't have players to implement what Rslf wants to do. Shakey as feck at the back though.
