I think we need one more goal to win, preferably early in the 2nd. I'm becoming a fan of Fred.

Need to do this to Everton ,for me to consider changing my mind on Ole, But he as got it spot on again that half.

About 6 city players should be in the book for getting in the refs face. He needs to sack up and starting booking the cnuts.

Yep, thats one where its like 50/50, it clearly hit his hand and his hand clearly obstructed the ball but at the same time its quite a natural position to put your hand when going to ground like that
also it bounced off his body first which the FA said at start of season could change things

Micah Richards was giving it the big one before the game, now looks like someone who's been told their faithful partner of 20 years has got chlamydia.

His arm was by his body and therefore not forming an unnatural silhouette. The ball hitting his arm forced it from his body not the other way around.

Our game plan has been on point today. Could have been 3 or 4 up at half time. Just gotta keep going second half.

    Sweet, cheers for the explanation.

Fred's face thought he had given away a pen and City's claims were understandable but happy to see that being turned away.

Not many times you will be able to write that at ht away to City!

How can you call it a pen? He had to put his hands down to stop him falling down like a fish and his head crashing into the floor.

What a great half of football. Great to see us playing well consistently, with some great passing and link up play. I am so pleased and relieved for Fred not having the penalty awarded against him-he is starting to show what he can do and doesn't need to be vilified for something silly.

Rashford is looking really sharp. He's fit, getting stronger and confident to have a pop. A little more composure and he will be golden.

Great goal from Martial as well.

This game could play into our hands in second half. City need to attack in numbers and we are very good at counter attacking at pace today. Finger crossed for all 3 points.

AWB need to have support to man mark Sterling, he was skinned by Sterling in first half.

Should be 3/4-0 by now...margins...could have been 5-0 too...hope our energy levels don’t drop. We will get a chance or two and capitalise on it when there is enough in the tank to counter.

    Please please please

Really feels like Rashford and Martial (or a 3rd MF making late runs) need to be more aware of James' crosses. He puts in atleast 2-3 quality crosses a game that better forwards would be scoring from.

Pep looks like he owns a restaurant and can't wait for his weekend football management hobby to end so he can return to his normal job.

VAR used correctly. Pen could've gone either way but the right decision was made. Fred had his hands behind his back and only had it out last minute instinctively to stop his fall as you can't really do anything else when you're sliding like that.

Shocking that the ref failed to give the first pen in real time. K

Micah Richards is a clown. Who let that wanker in the studio? Lazy cnut sat on his arse at Villa for years.

Micah Richards isn’t as smug as he was during the FA Cup draw
    Thinks Fred deliberately handled It

Moron Micah in the sky studio....complaining about the way Fred’s hand comes out as they were at his side.....yes that’s what happens when you throw yourself to the floor

Fantastic so far. All var decisions have been undoubtedly correct in my opinion. I’m afraid we’re going to need a third goal to get the three points. I still think a draw or a city win is as likely as us winning. Hopefully we keep the ball a bit and don’t play like we did in the last 10 minutes of the first half.

agreed. RvP or RvN would have about 20 goals so far this season

They're definitely scoring at least 1 here, especially with us already looking leggy. Not sure I can handle the tension!
