Team defending well and front 4 is just a wrecking crew. City defenders are shutting in their pants once we counter attack. I think we can score 1-2 after the break when City chase the game. Great first half in a long time. We could be 4-5 up. Wow.

No complaints obviously, but why is that not a penalty there against Fred?

Other than that, what a bloody half from us! Our decision making has been amazing, picking the right passes and making the right runs.

His arm was by his body and therefore not forming an unnatural silhouette. The ball hitting his arm forced it from his body not the other way around.

Our game plan has been on point today. Could have been 3 or 4 up at half time. Just gotta keep going second half.

Brilliant 1st half I'd have snatched your hand off for 2-0 but we should be 3 up at least.
    Can't believe I've said that!!

First 30 minutes we were insanely good.

We MUST make sure we keep a counter attacking threat, that was 1 way traffic the last 15 minutes. We need to keep being brave.

Fantastic performance so far though, really really pleased.

    Don't throw it away lads!

Phew. That was 30 minutes of absolute excellence - like seriously, we were tearing them apart and could have been 4-0 up.

The last 15 minutes were exceedingly nervy though. I hope we can keep the ball a bit better in the second half because we could barely cross the halfway line after 2-0. It's not unexpected, City were always going to have periods of massive dominance in this game but let's hope we can get back to what it was like in the first 30 minutes.

Also, neither handball incident was a penalty but let's not have another one of those...

I missed the first 38 minutes, don’t think the ball has been in city’s half since I’ve been watching. How are we winning?

Can you miss the second half, please?

Ref is awful. Anybody noticed how Fernandinho didn't get clear yellow card when Rash hit a post?

If that penalty was given i wouldnt have complained about it.

    Fred very lucky...

"back-up" hand (to protect himself from falling) isn't a pen anymore.

so it's the completely right decision.

I missed the first 38 minutes, don’t think the ball has been in city’s half since I’ve been watching. How are we winning?
Because we could've scored 5 in the first 30 minutes while they didn't create a single chance.

This. Last 20 minutes were fecking dire. We cant be this deep, allow them 95% possession and expect to ride it out
This is Manchester fecking City at home, back to back champions with Guardiola as manager, what do you expect, total domination for the whole 90 minutes? We smashed them for the first 30 minutes, could have been 4-0 to us.

Not handball, not sure where his arms are meant to go if not there.

I thought the Lindelof one was more handball, particularly the 2nd touch as it was a bit clumsy. Fred has the ball blasted at his arm by his side from a few yards. No chance.

If that penalty was given i wouldnt have complained about it.

    Fred very lucky...

Those are never given as penalties. He was sliding in with his arms at his side, which there is absolutely nothing wrong with.

Not lucky, just great defending. They would have scored without him there.

Well, Fred did make the effort to put his arm behind his back but the natural reaction was to put it out just as he was reaching the ground. Also, the shot was so close that he couldn’t have humanly been able to avoid it. So, correct decision not to give the penalty imho

Brilliant first 30 mins. Every counter was sharp. Need to play like the first 30 in the 2nd half, otherwise we won't see this out.

I don’t understand why do we sit back and invite pressure all of a sudden after we battered them on the break with a high press?!

    Delighted with the result.

Exactly how I predicted this game would go so far. To a man, we have been excellent. Lindelöf has scared me a few times dwelling on the ball and with some dodgy heading, but without Aguero, City really either need it on a plate or a rocket from Kevin.

We should have had at least one more.

We need more control in the game but I dont see where that is going to come from with the type of players we have.

Last 15 we couldn’t get out at all and De Bruyne was pulling the strings but god that was good to watch.

Reminded me of the games against Arsenal with the Ronaldo and Rooney counter goals.
