They've been allowed to snuff out every opportunity at a counter-attack without having to worry about getting a second yellow card. No wonder that gives you confidence and an upper hand.
Not that I'm suggesting that City aren't a much better team than us, because they clearly are, but they're also helped massively by the referees by not having their sneaky tactics punished while their opponents are constantly walking a tightrope due to the ref being very picky with their fouls.
