We need to play fast attacking football. When they hold onto the ball the 2-3 Man City players pressure hard.

I'm surprised how good the silvas and even sterling are when it comes to winning the ball back

What is the point in even playing this game? We aren’t getting a fecking touch. We may as well walk off the pitch and take the 3-0 loss.

    The power of coaching mate.

City have more quality than us that is for sure, but it is pep who has them functioning at such a high level. Jose has us looking timid and clueless.

Even if he got Toby and willan, city would still out playing us.

This City team are so annoying. As a bunch of individual players and I just don’t see that much quality in there yet they storm past teams.

Aguero, David Silva and Fernandinho are clearly world class. The rest I wouldn’t be that fussed with them being at United. Obviously KDB if he started.
Putting a lot of players that can pass the football well on the pitch can yield good results.

Even Fernandinho is pretty average for Brazil and wasnt anything special before Pep. Quality coaching does wonders when you actually improve what you have.

Just wached the first goal. No one had a single clue who should they track.
And why we always play like crap in first 40-50minutes ?

Can we not press them? We're just watching them play around us. Fecks sakes man

Exactly. He's our most gifted and best player (shout outs to De Gea and possibly Martial/Smalling).

We aren't good enough to lose our best player and be competitive against the best team on the league.

They're missing KDB as well and he's their best player.

Difference is they have a well working system so they can afford to play without their best players, whilst we're dependant on moments of magic from our flair players (Pogba, Martial) to produce something.

As Liverpool have proved time and time again, the only way to stand a chance against City is press them and get their defenders into 1v1 situations.

Having Pogba would hardly change anything in our approach tbh.
Definitely, agreed. But it means that not all of our forward balls would go to waste. And he was pretty essential last season in this same fixture. We're just not good enough to lose a player of that quality.

Don't really watch a lot of City matches. Are they this dominant in all their games? We've hardly had a sniff.

How can anyone blame anyone for this result now ? I can't even blame the players. The gulf in quality is extremely huge that's it. They're missing KDB but still have David Silva, B.Silva and Aguero etc. We can win a one off match against them but 9/10 times they'll win.

As predictable as anything. Awful team selection, awful tactics, awful defending. Same old Jose mindset, big match...Lets drop the players with any technical ability and wheel the donkeys out. That starting 11 is f'in embarrassing.

Yes. They press high, keep possession, and swarm forward with numbers. They're miles ahead of us.

Smalling has got to be the most ungraceful player ever. When he makes a simple pass it looks so ungainly.
