I genuinely hope so. Hilarious to think about the two of them in the same hotel.
It's been almost a year and Jose is still living out of a hotel, and his family will continue to live in London. Strange situation, strange man. Wonder if he'll move to something more permanent if he doesn't get fired for failing to make the CL this year. :p

We'll be okay of we play on the counter.

A midfield three of Hererra Carrick and Fellaini
A front three of Lingard Rashford and Martial

If we need to defend a lead swap Martial for Young. If we need to break things down a bit more swap Lingard for Miki. It's at times like this I wish we'd given TFM game time earlier in the season. It'd be good to see him replace Carrick in the last 10 minutes, have him sit as another destroyer in midfield.

Can they really do that ?

Wear something blue and some placard/banner saying " I'm not really here"

Aye said not to wear anythinget red or turn up with a track suite on. As if lol

Since Pogba is out, it'll be 4-3-3 for sure now.

    De Gea
    Valencia - Bailly - Blind - Darmian
    Carrick
    Herrera - Fellaini
    Lingard - Rashford - Martial

Pogba has been anonymous in just about every big game this season. I'd obviously rather have him available but it definitely isn't as big a miss as some are suggesting.

I would've lived in a hotel If I had to travel a lot and it cost me one weeks' wages.

@Niall Could Matty Willock be added to the players list we can pick from, please? We've got only 16 senior outfield players available at the moment, so there's a chance he makes his debut this season.

Pogba is a pretty big loss no matter what strategy we employ, but especially if we want to adopt a similar approach to Chelsea. No-one else who can come in is going to offer his dynamism. I'd be tempted to give Fosu-Mensah a go than just turning to Carrick.

I expect us to go there looking for a draw or a 0-1 win, Jose will be cautious and I'd say rightfully so given our injury problems and fatigue.

I can't see this happening, Fellaini lacks mobility to play in this kind of system. I can see Jose going defensive tomorrow night. Carrick will be on the bench, Fellaini & Herrera sitting in front of the back four, either Rooney or Miki playing in the no. 10, Lingard on right & Martial or Young on the left.

Fecking hell when will it stop? Now no Pogba. How fecking long is he out for?

Right now teams ought to be trying to kick the shit out of our players knowing how thing we are going to be on the bench.

    Ok I'll add him later.

Agree, a draw isn't the end of the world for us. Means we'll have to win at Arsenal and Spurs as things stand but gives us time to get a little healthier.

Let's hope a for a tight game and some counter attacking opportunities for us. They haven't been that great this season that you'd expect them to overwhelm us, but it's always difficult to predict these. If we're going to win this, Rashford's pace on the counter will be instrumental.

Pogba missing isn't much of a problem. We can handle it. Play Carrick, Fellaini and Herrera with Herrera taking the offensive roles Pogba was taking. He'll be fine.

Actually this trio reminds of the 4-2 match in LVG era.

Looks from City they'll have Jesus on the bench, possibly Silva on the bench too. Aguero with De Bruyne Sane Toure behind. I've gone with Micky Fellaini and Young behind Rashford. Just clicking on names really. I'm always nervous during these games so gonna find tomorrow quite sickening.

I'm confident for some reason for this game, City doesn't scare me at all. But when I feel confident that we'll win we usually draw or lose, and vice versa. Still excited as hell for this game, could time go any slower?

Pogba missing won't be that much of a problem as he usually don't do anything noteworthy in big games, so we should be fine without him. Just hope our defense don't shit their pants every time City attack, this is a game where everyone need to step it up and be on their A-game. Hard to believe we'll actually be 4th if we beat team, level on points with Liverpool with a game in hand. Hoping for another tactical masterclass from Mourinho.

Have I missed something, is Mhki injured? Barely anyone seems to be naming them in their team now. I know he has gone off the boil a bit in the league but he would still be very useful if we are setting up to play on the counter again. A difficult choice between him and Lingard for me. Lingard links up with Rashford well but Mhki still has that bit extra that could get us over the line. He also tracks back and makes decent tackles a lot more efficiently than Lingard.

Think Pogba missing is a disaster for us tomorrow. He's our best player and one of our leaders. With both Pogba and Zlatan missing I think we will struggle. Hope I'm wrong.

I think will be ok. Zlatan although he's been great will not be a miss for us in the these type of games where we play with quick players on the counter and when it comes to Pogba other than the Chelsea game just gone he hasn't been very good for us against the big teams. Don't get me wrong i'd rather have Pogba than not have him but I think we will be going back to basics tomorrow with a solid defence and pacey players going forward and Pogba falls somewhere in between those sort of players so he won't be missed as much as he might be in other games IMO.

Fingers crossed it's another tactical masterclass from Mourinho.

Who is going to head it at set pieces!

Suddenly the massive height and strength we had throughout the team has come down to Bailly and Fellaini!

    -----------Carrick
    -----Herrera - Fellaini
    ---Miki------------ Lingard
    ----------Rashford
The energy and pressing of the front 3 are very important. Martial was brilliant in the last match, but we will need players who will track their man deep their own half and unless Martial plays in a front 2 similar to the Chelsea match then I don't see him starting.

Rooney and Martial to come on during the 2nd half.

I'd rather Rooney start the match than come on late in the game. Cant remember when Rooney coming off the bench didnt include utter disappointment.

What was the team when we beat them 4-2 under LVG? Pretty sure it was Carrick/Fellaini/Herrera wasn't it?

I think it was like :

    De Gea
    Valencia - Smalling - Jones - Blind
    Carrick
    Mata - Fellaini - Herrera - Young
    Rooney
I doubt some names in the back line but I think it was pretty much this.

How unlucky, we are some how start hitting good form and win a couple of good important games then we lose a key player in every position, it sums up some of our real bad luck this season.
The midfield battle will be difficult tomorrow Carrick and Fellaini oh WOW.

Carrick and Fellani in midfield hasn't been great if I remember well?

Together alone yes as they can't make dribbles or dangerous forward passes making the team static. With Herrera present, though, things can look different. I'm sure Herrera will do Pogba's role in driving our play forward very well if Jose gave it to him, and will provide support to both Carrick and Fellaini.

Anyone else expecting something totally different from Jose in this match?
Maybe he'll try again with his plan from earlier this season - with Lingard and Mkhitaryan on the wings?

I guess with so many injuries anything can happen.

If Silva is out i'd give us more of a chance but either way it's difficult to see anything but a defeat here. Injuries have decimated us.

It's not only about bad luck though. United are the only top team that used star players in all games in the league cup. There wasn't enough rotation earlier in the season, especially from November to March.

Still, we have a chance vs City. Similarly to us, they haven't been convncing in their home games, especially in the league. Now, with Zlatan, Pogba, Mata and Rojo out, the pressure on them to win the game will be much bigger.
