McNair showing no fear. Running out from defence laying the ball off and getting forward for the return pass. Looked very assured in his defending too in very difficult circumstances. Looks a proper prospect.

Ultimately another hammer blow with undertones of positivity. It can't be long before we go on a winning run, can it?

If there was ever a game where the ref cost us the game, it was not the leicester game, IT WAS THIS ONE!

Fair play sending off smalling but zaba and demichelis were also lucky to stay on.

Luke Shaw is my MoM and I'm proud of the last 20 minutes we showed. Smalling shouldn't be allowed the first team again. I rather give the spot to McNair or Blackett honestly. I think we will dip into the transfer market in January.

this defeat I am blaming 100% on Smalling if he could of controlled himself and stayed on the pitch we would of won this game, City have not been good and at times have looked very poor, when we ran at them they were scared and at times could not handle us, we have not disgraced ourself and deserved a point out of it.

Pretty sad, we could of won that game. Loved the effort from the team in the last quarter of the game. Only 1-0 with ten men and Carrick and McNair at CB! A performance at the end that you can get behind.

Good effort by the lads. Really proud of the performance they put in especially when down to 10 men.

Basically undone by a moment of stupidity by Smalling. Typical really. Unforgivable considering the manager has said time and time again that we need to keep 11 on the pitch this week and control our emotions. Should be held accountable for us dropping all 3 points.

On the other hand we seem to be showing a lot more spirit and solidarity. However, yet again we have lost all our defenders to injury and will be fielding yet another different centreback pairing for as many matches in a row. Criminal.

We really need to get going and beat some of the "lesser" sides especially at home.
