They were both penalties, so we're lucky in that regard. Smalling is utterly stupid. We wont finish this game with 10 men.

A City win is all but guaranteed, the only question is by how much. Important to avoid a historic thrashing.

Started brightly then fell apart. Smalling should never play for the club again!

Looking at that first yellow. What the feck was running through his head.

I wouldn't add Valencia either, he's been terrible. The way he dived to get a foul and Rooney bollocked him was funny
True. Valencia do not seem to care some of the time, just walking back when losing the ball is pathetic to see.

Typical United. I watched the first 10 minutes and knew we would lose this one. I can't quite figure out what's wrong with this team, I honestly can't. There are good players out there, they just don't seem to be doing it, and whenever things begin to get tough they all panic.
    The balance is still off.
It just hasn't been there for three years or so.

Park the bus and hope for something off the counter. Really pathetic display in the first half. They were there for the taking. Instead of going at them we sat off, playing sideways passes until one goes amiss and we give it straight back to them. No pace or willingness to take the game to them. Lot's have criticised Adnan so far but he was our only player looking to go forward. Thank Christ for Dave!

We should probably be at least 2-0 down with 9 men. We have looked toothless in attack and a complete shambles in defence. We can't afford to take a hiding after showing some progress recently.

Did Fellaini spit on Aguero?! May have been accidental but still, ew

Jones, Rafael and Smalling, not two brain cells to rub together between them. At least now with Carrick we have someone with a brain in his head.

We're generally rubbish when we have 10-men, so this'll be interesting.

And by interesting, I mean horrible.

We looked sloppy and were lucky to be level even before the red. That was two clear penalties we've survived as well but they'll get one at least as they'll start to swarm in on us now. Can see Blind getting another yellow too.
A point will be a miracle.

brainless play by smalling. our defense is dicey as it is without playing a man down. DDG continues his terrific play. Will take luck and a superhuman effort to get a point...a miracle to get 3.

Di Maria aside we don't have much pace to hit them on the counter.

This is going to be a long second half

Fellaini playing quite well again, which is good to see. Smalling is a gen. moron.

Luke Shaw is a bit meh isn't he?

Jaimie Redknap doesn't even try and hide his dislike/hatred of United anymore!

Still more optimistic about picking up at least a point with 10 men than I would have been with 11 last year.

Also where the feck is Falcao? Still injured or did I miss him running back to monaco?

    Fellaini has been decent

Januzaj had been abysmal till he had been taken off. Still don't know how people rated his performance against Chelsea so highly when all he did the whole game was that 1 defence splitting pass.Herrera needs to come back ASAP.

Terrible composure from Valencia in tight spaces but what do you expect from a guy that's being played out of position and playing after 7-8 games out.

Rooney in his usual after injury/Red card form.Looks laboured and has the touch of a rapist on he ball.Decent defending in the midfield though.

    Shaw and De Gea :drool::drool:

Smalling though:lol::lol:. I've been firm of the belief that 2 out of our 3 injury prone centre backs should be sold in the coming transfer window to make way for new defenders. If they aren't injured they're costing us on the field and don't use the fecking "potential" as an excuse too.One of them's 26 and the other's 24 and they're still the same players as when we bought them.FFS Smalling , you absolute weapon.

Once the ref has been shown those two penalty incidents at half time, a City penalty will be nailed on for the second half. You know how they like to "even up" their decisions.

And the pundits will be saying that United "can have no complaints" given the two previous shouts.

The things Oliver has got wrong today -

Should've booked clichy early on for his fould on Januzaj
Should've booked Hart for squaring up to him
Should've booked Zabaleta for his foul
    Should've awarded City two penalties.

I thought he was the best referee in the league before this game, now not too sure.

Smalling is going to get more than an earful, what an idiotic bellend. It's going to be painful waiting for city to score
Agree with all that but think the Rojo challenge was not a pen.

I fear this will end like the 1-6. They came out in the 2nd half and kicked the stuffing out of us. The last thing we need is another derby humiliation. A point would be a massive result now, but I really believed we could win today.

The ref is a feckity feck. Absolute disgrace, makes you think there's truth to the rumours that major sporting games in all codes are fixed. And Gary Nev - just shut your gob if you can't comment with any intelligence on the game.

You were fine against Liverpool but you're sounding like a donkey here.

Di maria needs to be back in midfield, useless so far and last game same thing, Valencia might as well not be on the pitch with amount of space his given them on that right hand side either.

I'm usually an optimist, but i can't see a way out for us, one of those chances will go in.

We played well up to the red card, but stupidity will cost us the game, what was smalling thinking? stupid for the first yellow and stupid for the second.

We also keep fouling players in the box and getting away with it, that needs to stop.
