This second half is going to be a challenge. Personally I'd take RVP off, stick Rooney up front and bring on Herrera to consolidate the midfield. Maybe bring Mata late on, to retain ball possession.

Smalling is stupid. That first yellow was brainless and the 2nd was total naivety. We had a modicum of control up until then. Oliver also should've booked both Clichy and Zabaletta, but didn't, despite being more than happy to flash the cards for Blind and Smalling (deservedly).

Apart from Smallings feck ups I actually don't think they are. The main problem is that again we let the opposition just waltz through our midfield and pick any pass they like. If we don't manage to put pressure on the ball leading player they will keep carving us open at the back time and time again and there is little we can do about it.Preparation doesn't work when you have idiots on the team.
