Fair point. Sometimes when Rafa has bombed forward though it's because he knows Valencia will cover. Januzaj isn't as defensive.

Our issue is that neither Di Maria or Januzaj tracked back helped tracking back v Chelsea. So with Valencia being at RB, he won't get as much help and doesn't have the defensive brain actual fullbacks have. Valencia needs to switched on today. Only good thing is David Silva being injured.

Slightly dissapointed with the line-up. Think we need to play to do Maria's strengths. He needs to play centrally even if that means he plays as a number 10.

If Rafa injured and Jones as well, what choice do we have? I am more worried that Herrera isn't playing. Hope it is just that his rib is not fully mended. I worry about Januzaj coming back and doing his defensive duties.

OK-ish line-up. Hoped Herrera would be starting and if he is not fit enough then we shouldn't risk him at all this time and therefore shouldn't be on the bench either.
On a side note, I know they'll play well against us but City's line up looks rather average.

Terrible to see Rafael out, has been one of our best players this season. Good to see McNair back. A shame Yaya's playing, but no Silva destroys City's team imo, the're never the same without him. The chance is there to win this.

Herrera was obviously still injured against WBA. It was too early for him. I would have played Herrera and Fellaini and no Adnan.

I think Jones would have played for sure. Smalling was good against Chelsea though, but if Jones we're fit for that game as well I don't think Smalling would have started it.

I'm am concerned with Valencia at right back, so disappointing to see Rafael injured yet again. Rooney back in for Mata was obvious. Good choice I think, makes the midfield more solid with him playing front of it. I hope he plays like he has a chip on his shoulder after being out with suspension. Would like to see Herrera play, but can't argue too much with Fellaini at the moment.
