Most of Liverpool’s danger comes over our left, where Dalot isn’t very good, Bruno doesn’t really like to defend and Martinez is shaky. I would always instruct my team to attack over our left side.

Crazy stat that - Hojlund averages the least amount of shots per 90 from all the forwards in the league. But I guess it matches the eye test. He’s not entirely blameless but we could splash £60m on a Gyokeres and they’d struggle in this setup. Need to sort the wingbacks and AM/CM positions first.

I maintain that purely stylistically, Zirkzee is a better fit for Amorims system than Hojlund. Obviously Zirkzee has been poor and is likely on his way out this month and has lost any confidence he may have had this season. Still an in form and fit Zirkzee who has been coached to have a bit more intensity in his play, would work so much better with the two 10s than Hojlund.
