Yup that name piqued my curiosity too.
Very talented young CB. Been having injury troubles for the past season or so but the talent is there.

Ten Hag using the same formation and tactics overe and over again is truely insane. Does he really think that this is going to work?

And yet he’s always hoping he doesn’t get the ball in midfield so he won’t feck up.
Exactly. One of the biggest myths is that Mctomminay puts a shift in. Never seen a player actively avoid the ball as much. He cuts off passing angles for himself.

Too many earrings on show from our lads. We've become the Spice Boys.

Absolutely bizarre, that Varane Evans thing.

I really hope Mainoo and Amrabat are going to play slightly deeper to provide defensive cover

Don't like that Mainoo, Garnacho or Hojlund are in. Don't think it's fair on them to be a big part of what is about to happen...
Really hope I'm wrong, but I'm dreading it.
Them 3 are the reason we all have a little bit of hope.

Liverpool are starting with Gravenberch and Endo? That midfield is nothing special.

I don’t know who any of their midfield three are. Any good?
Szoboszlai has been good for them. Gravenberch has been hailed as a talent at Ajax. Bayern sold him for whatever reason. Hasn't hit the ground running. Endo is shit.

My blood is boiling at how confident Carragher & co are but this team is so bad that they know that they can say anything & get away with it. Hate football so much

Hopefully we stay in the game and then in the last halve hour bring on Rashford to run at their defence. Garnacho vs Trent will be a good test.

Line up actually optimises McT; no over reliance on him in deep midfield and full licence to maraud.

At least the setup gives us a chance.

I know we’ve got injuries but our squad absolutely stinks.

The list of players injured or other wise missing is insane.

    Casamiro
    Erikson
    Martinez
    Sancho
    Mount
    Lindelof
    Martial
    Maguire
    Malacia
    Bruno
    Ahmed
    Greenwood.

I have a feeling.....its not going to be as bad as we think....that however doesn't mean it'll be good!

Such a bizarre attitude. If you believe they're good enough to be starting for us, why wouldn't you want them to be starting this game? Matches like this show you how good a player actually is. I'm not sure why you'd want to protect anyone from such an occasion. Personally, I've had enough of bright young talents who impress in a league cup match against League One teams but crumble when we really need them to shine. So let's see if they are good enough.

Is it just me or does that Liverpool line up look bang average. I mean, we are poor and not confident, bt surprised how confident Liverpool side seem and how negative our side are. This is not going to be a trouncing that is for sure

Ten hag can't fecking win I swear. Play the old players and it's the shit same mentality and no new fire. Play new players and it's not fair

You're more hopeful than me
Any normal game, yes 100%, their development is literally all I care about seeing this season. I fecking hate playing away at Anfield though, I've seen too many garbage performances

I think we'll probably lose by a few goals, but im more interested in seeing our younsters prove they can not get sent off in a tough atmosphere and show good signs of character and motivation to do their own jobs well in the circumstances. Its a great oppertunity for Mainoo to show he should be our first midfielder on the teamsheet if he does his own business well for example. Hoijlund has plenty to prove so a goal would be very important. And Garnacho needs to show he continues to start over Rashford on the left. Even if we lose by a few those players can all do that. And if they dont they wont be alone
