Dalot is the one player I'm nowhere near convinced by. ETH obviously thinks he can turn him into an end product but he always worries me.

I trust Ten Haag but am very surprised it see dalot instead of wan Bissaka. Think aaron would do better against Nunez for those runs and duels.
That’s a fair point, but I reckon Dalot is more of a “team” player than AWB and maybe ETH believes he’s better able to support Antony.

We have to be able to get some sort of joy against a midfield of Horrenderson, Fabinho and Elliot.

With the inclusion of Dalot over AWB, ten Hag is going for it here. The Casemiro, Rapha and Lisandro triangle is going to be tested early. Survive the early onslaught and I’m confident we’ll come away with a very good result.

Great team. Had hoped Sancho might be fit enough to start but he can make an impact off the bench. No issues with Dalot starting who for me has had a good season and proven himself a more reliable big game player than AWB.

I'd say Dalot starting means we're coming to play on the front foot, crush their spirit early.

Put your money on Salah scoring from an Alisson hoof down field at any point. It’ll ease the pain when it happens.

Expect to see him start on Thursday
Nah, it's clear to me EtH has Varane on a game-per-week regime to keep him available for crucial games. We don't need him against Betis at home but maybe he'll play away.

Their defence can be got at. Wish we had a bit more pace up front rather than Weghorst.

Playing away, his missus won't be happy

One of AWB's biggest weakness is falling asleep at the back post and that general area and not being aware of the opposing players around him. With TAA slinging balls in we need someone more alert to that.
Those 2 are his biggest weaknesses. Which is pretty significant for a defender who don't possess the attacking threat of someone like TAA.

Are people seriously worried about Nunez? I know it's a Liverpool game and all that but he is beyond crap. We really should not be panicking over Nunez and Gakpo

I have a cheap Now TV package to watch some Sky Sports channels on my mobile, including the Premier League channel, but ...

It came with a single one day pass, which I used last weekend, to watch on my tablet away from home

The phone conked out 3 days ago, and another is on order, arriving Tues or Wed

I was going to do some work today, listen on the radio, and go to a gig this evening

I think I might be about to crack, twice, and end up paying £12 for a day pass

Yeah that's why I think ETH went with Dalot instead today

TAA doesn’t even possess that attacking threat anymore

Panick over any of them at Anfield

 if I was on that coach I'd hide and ask the driver to take me home, I would be so frightened of that menacing atmosphere. You must need some serious cojones to bring yourself to get off that coach. Do we have a psychiatrist on board that can help the players deal with situations like this? Not just before the match but afterwards as well. I wonder how many will have nightmares tonight about this and will wake up screaming.

The scariest thing for me was the teenager sticking 2 fingers up. How can the players keep their minds on the game after that.
    Hard barstewards, them scousers.

Varane rarely plays more than once a week, they made an exception last week because it was Barcelona and then the cup final and he had to play both of them.

I wouldn't expect him to play on Thursday now he's starting today.

Why? Nunez isn't a good carrier of the ball, it's not like he's an isolation winger where Wan Bissaka would fully pocket him like a Sterling type of game.

Nunez is extremely quick and good on the counter.

Hopefully Ten Hag is not scared to unleash Garnacho at Alexander-Arnold in the second half.

Just don't get humiliated please. I couldn't handle another 4-0 or something. Let's put up a fight at least.

God I hate games at Anfield. I wish it were over already.

Have you watched us play in the last 6 months :wenger:

That's hasn't always been Dalot's strongest point either, lately. And he is much more passive one-on-one than Wan-Bissaka.

He might be a bit of a meme but he still has 12 goals this season. He’ll be a threat.

We've been quite fortunate recently. We only seem to be turning up for one half at the moment.

The great thing about this United team at the moment is that we have a solid defence so we won't get humiliated even if we do lose.

I think we will win. Nunez to get sent off, Bruno to score two and Casemiro to see out the full match without a booking.

I think Wout will score today, cement himself into legendary status ala Forlan
