    Great. Another experimental formation and lineup. Because that's worked so well so far.

    And I don't get the Elanga love-in. He's just been average.

    Considering what we have to play with I actually think this is the best lineup, although I would change Pogba for someone. I hope he surprises me.

    Clearly that we are going to try to stop their fullbacks while having "big" players in the middle. Will be longer balls behind their fullbacks for Rashford and Elanga to run on while Fernandes will be floating in the middle as box to box and as second wave.
     
    Look at their bench. So annoying how few injuries they have..
     
    Back 5 , 4 across midfield 1 up. I hope we don't feck around with the ball for them to press us into errors, hope the tactic is go long with runners and keep our shape.

    Disastrous. The one weakness to three at the back is width and that’s the main weapon of Liverpools. Trent is going to get in behind Dalot time and time again and is gonna tear us apart, especially with nobody to take advantage of the space going the other way.

    Ha, imagine starting the season with Ronaldo, Cavani, Martial, Greenwood and Rashford, and then seeing that lineup. Eeesh.

    Needs must etc. Tough position for us but 4th place isn't hugely likely to come down to GD (Spurs have +10 on us) so I don't really care, which is an indictment in of itself.
