Sub him on for Young and have him run at the tired Liverpool legs. One more goal and the result will be in our favor. Call me cheek clinching, but I'd still take a draw, all things considered. We'll get stormed the second half, but I think we have what it takes to batten down the hatches. Rooney has easily been bad enough to come off. He has lost the ball nearly every time he has had it. But to be fair I wouldn't take him off at this stage either, as you say atleast he has work rate and hopefully he ups his game second half.

He is being manmarked though and actually his movement off the ball created that gap that Mata dove into for the goal. He's not playing as bad as you making him out to be.Remarkable goal and great possession but not sure it's enough. This lot will pick up and we need to press them harder and not lose the ball as much as we did near the end of the half. Rooney is trying too hard, he should calm down and find space. Otherwise great play, very pleased.
Then I'm not seeing it.
