Surely you would have one CB and stick Gomes or Chong there just incase. I don't know what more Gomes needs to do to get minutes. So he didn't set up well against City and Liverpool when we beat and drew with them, respectively?We will get dispatched in the first half like the City game. We can only hope they have mercy in the second half, but i doubt it.
I think the options are so limited that a different system or player selection i.e. Lingard for Pereira or Mata for James wouldn't even make a difference. Not much to criticise when you know it's mediocre all over.
It’s the training. We will get there too, but for that, the intensity has to go up. Which we did. Next year the fitness should be different.
