Rooney to score a brace as Vardy misses an easy tap in. You heard it here first.

Mayhaps that will be the only time.

Alright! We are away to the league leaders! We must approach this as the challengers. Hear us roar mighty Leicester! Let us hope the Barcelona and Real Madrid scouts confuse Vardy as much as the interplay at Nou Camp would.

    WAR lads.

We have the chance to go top of the league, but watch us be less adventurous than Leicester.

Agree with this. Its only a matter of time before Leicester run out of form. Hopefully its later today!

Why would you do that to yourself? I'd rather watch birthing clips than that game again

Was working the morning and they were showing the PL highlights then they had a 30 minute highlight of that game.

In fairness, we are one of the most defensive teams in the league.
LCFC are the most attacking team in the leaugue, so it makes sense that they will be the attacking team, while we play in a defensive style.

It makes perfect sense that Leicester City are a more attacking side than Manchester United.

If we play 3 at the back, we will almost certainly drop points. Not too keen on the idea of McNair starting this one.

I refuse to put Mcnair in my predicted 11. This manager makes absolutely zero sense. If we play a 3.5.2 I will not watch the game.

If our defence is up to task today then I think we'll sneak it. Leicester have the highest scoring record but their defence is the thirteenth worst in the League so we should get some chances at least today...that is if we pass forwards rather than sideways!

I agree with this. They ship goals against everyone they play.

We've gone to other away grounds this season and produced good results against sides we were worried about - Southampton and Everton.

I think mc nair at CB makes sense. Playing him in a back three also makes sense because it will to some extent plug the gaps through which they thread balls to vardy. Moreover if they decide to play with ulloa and vardy then a back three would help there as well. Blind at LB is a risk if vardy decides to move to that side. Blind can handle mahrez , vardy might be a problem though.

3-5-2 would be a good system against Leicester IMO

    True.
But those teams are not as good as LCFC.
LCFC use a brute force approach to winning their games. Power. Pace. Passion. Speed. Basically physical attributes. And they don't overthink things.
Our style of play is the total opposite.
I think think its going to be a great contest.

What is interesting, is in the prediction table, only 23% of people think that LCFC will win. To put this into context, over 90% of people felt that MUFC would beat PSV a few days ago (and the actual result was a draw).

I am intrigued by that game, I can't wait for the kick off.

Arsenal play an open game, that didn't suit us. I understand they came out like a house on fire and we left the car in gear before turning the engine on.
Our tactics were also just off on that game. Don't have the video on me now, but G. Nev. did a great job of showing how our midfielders weren't in synch with their pressing, and thus, left a lot of open spaces in front of the back four which allowed us to be picked apart.

Yeah. It's one of the few occasions that Van Gaal has got it flat out wrong since becoming manager.

This has a draw all written over it. But going to be optimistic, Depay to sink the Leicester ship by scoring a brace :nervous:

How would you feel about a draw? I would much prefer a win, but if it was entertaining I would take a draw. Not sure there is much chance of the entertaining though.

I see no need for a 352 (ever, actually). Assuming Jones is still out, this:

    De Gea
    Young Smalling McNair Blind
    Schweinstiger Schneiderlin
    Mata Rooney Memphis
    Martial

Young's pace will be required at right back. Memphis has been dire but he did score in league play last week. This game is too big for Lingard, so I'm going with Mata.

Missed the edit deadline, thought it was 90 minutes before kick-off. No Rojo or Lingard apparently. So I guess Darmian at LB and slow coach back in up top on the right.

First things first quiet the home crowd. If that means death by possession football like against City then be it. Ide rather us cancel out their attacks and it end 0-0 than we go toe to toe and lose 4-2 or worse. The main thing today is try keep the home support and vary quiet and create some chances for ourselves to nick it.

Need a win, happy with a draw.

I usually have some idea of how I think a match will develop, but I'm clueless as to how this one will end up.

Leicester are good going forward but are crap defensively

We will be strong in defence but We can't counter attack

All things point to 0-0 Yet again.
