Feck that guy. He ain't the answer to none of our problems, rather a problem himself.

How is he a problem? Because his agent speaks out 2-3 times a year? So what? Use our best players. Cavani and Pogba on at some stage, gives us the best chance to win the game.

I know you said it as a joke but I would much prefer him and Henderson over De Gea.

De Gea is done as a top level goalkeeper- he has too many weaknesses to his game.

We either put more well rounded goalkeepers in their place or aim to recruit other others if players like Henderson dont make it.

As usual our wage structure holds us back from progressing.

De Gea is one of the main reasons our defence doesnt progress as a system. You can see it in corners.

This isn't the case at all. Ole will drop players if he wants to, he's choosing to keep playing DDG.
It's an interesting time at the club, kind of like when Courtois came back to Chelsea and we're handling it in a different way. Only time will tell if Hendo should be starting but that goal was not on DDG and our wage structure does not hold us back in any capacity.

Yeah it's poor. You have to close them down there, especially in that position.
He doesn’t even need to aggressively close him down he just needs to slightly engage him rather than literally standing watching. Really bizarre.

You really need to stop with this James hating. He has done ok this half. There is reason why he plays. Helping Lindelof and has done that in a good way. He was involved in our goal to so it isn’t bad.
Absolutely agree with this, he’s not the best ever, but puts in an excellent shift and can move the ball very quickly. The hate he gets here is way over the top.

    Wait for it...
I'm not usually one to blame goalkeepers for things that aren't their fault, but do you really think that his positioning is good relative to the angle that the shot comes in from? Would've been a routine save if he'd moved across like he should have seeing as he just about didn't reach it from this position.

What was Maguire and Fernandes doing also? Questionable from de Gea also.

We're the victim of our own doing with that goal, Maguire falling over the ball was the start of it.
Maguire slipped but still got a fine clearance to an open Bruno. Can’t really blame him for the goal.

To be fair, our goal involved a fair bit of luck too. Bruno nicked a poor pass by James to the path of Rashford.

Yeah, can't argue against that. We blagged it a little with our goal, but I would say that Leicester didn't really gift it to us, whereas we had more of a hand in their goal. Both sides will probably be a little disappointed to give those goals away, as they were very preventable.

I'm still annoyed by that early Rashford chance. If that goes in, I think we settle down sooner and maybe even get a few more before halftime.

Yup...and the more I see it the worse it is. Why is he planted in the middle of his goal when the shot is taken? He should be a couple steps to his right. Poor positioning. If he shuffles his feet to his right as Barnes goes that way, it's a routine save...
Its not a penalty, he cant guess what position it going in.
Barnes can easily whip it back across

Pogba, Greenwood, Cavani, VDB. And you start with James? I simply can't understand any idea in that decision.
I would rather see Lingard there
It was the right decision. You need players who will run their legs off and work hard in very tough away games. Pogba standing with his hands on his hips in central mid won't help, but bringing him on with 30 mins to go when Leicester start to tire is a good option.

It's really weird. He was our player of the season last year, top scorer, played well last couple of games and 45 mins into the game you have people saying 'he's always been shite'.

Who is saying that? Quit with the exaggeration. Saying he’s frustrating and equating that to being ‘shite’ is very disingenuous.

How many counter-attacks has he butchered today already? Either by poor passing and dribbling into traffic, it’s a common feature of his game. Those who call him ‘frustrating’ (of whom I’m one) think that because, contrary to your belief, we rate him highly but are fed up of him consistently producing inconsistent performances. There’s a hell of a player in there but we fail to see it much too often, sadly.

McTominay was caught ball watching again when Barnes took his shot, same happened against Leeds.

Yeah wasn't so costly in that game as we had a good lead at the time. I was surprised to see James start with all of our attacking players fit

He should have two assists minimum in that half as well as scoring a header himself.

Even when he’s off it he’s crazy creative.
Absolutely. He brings tons to the team and a huge reason why we got top 4 last season.

I'm talking 90%+ still but just odd moments.. odd pass, odd freekick, booking. I just think there's a risk of playing him into the ground and risk of an injury, we have the chance to rest him for some of the run coming up (and gives DvdB a chance to show what he can do too - maybe one of Villa or Wolves). Come back rested for Liverpool.

Shaw, Fred and Martial have been good. Our pressing seems so reactionary and just ends up being a waste of energy.

Reckon it'll be a capitalisation of a mistake which will decide this game

It's called an opinion. You think just cause someone's the best player, they get 'a pass' when they make a mistake that cost us a goal. In my opinion that's pure stupidity.....

If you can't understand why someone like Bruno who's carried us for a year doesn't get the same anger when he makes an error as someone like Pogba does. Who's been here for years and constantly let us down . Then that's on you ...

People clamouring for Henderson, I think will be in for a big come down in the next couple of years after DDG leaves.

People really expect the front three to create 3 or 4 chances a half by themselves with zero creative help from the midfield or fullbacks.

The more i see it, the more that is a routine save you see put out for a corner. If you’re a professional goalkeeper, you must be disappointed with that. Bailey blocking his view but he knows where its going and he didn’t get there.

His view is only blocked because he stood in the middle of the goal. You're right, it should have been routine...

No changes , expected I guess . Give them 10-15 mins and make changes then if it’s the same rubbish

    More thoughts:-

I must have missed all the rave reviews about Lindelof playing all those games at full back.

McTominay has one good game and we expect him to be the next Keane.

Cavani would have had us 5-0 up by now. FFS,from experience we know how bad Evans is and how to exploit it we can't even do that

Its not a penalty, he cant guess what position it going in.
Barnes can easily whip it back across
I don't see how it's DDG's error. He's not superhuman. The ball was stuck incredible well. It's the turnover of possession and lack of closing down that was the problem there

This is where you want Bruno on, when he’s annoyed and feels a little injustice he plays very well and often pops up with the winner

Pogba on would be a good move though, he would instantly be the most talented CM on the pitch

    Yeah, but it's Mike Dean.
    That's why.

I'm not usually one to blame goalkeepers for things that aren't their fault, but do you really think that his positioning is good relative to the angle that the shot comes in from? Would've been a routine save if he'd moved across like he should have seeing as he just about didn't reach it from this position.

Spot on. He can only score there.....

It was the right decision. You need players who will run their legs off and work hard in very tough away games. Pogba standing with his hands on his hips in central mid won't help, but bringing him on with 30 mins to go when Leicester start to tire is a good option.
You need your best players on the pitch, not hard working. Quality wins you games.

Lingard is more composed than Daniel James. Hate to say it.

I think the fact we have loaned Brandon Williams out means we might be buying a Telles like attacking RB to compete with AWB.

Leicester are second only to Sevilla in thr diving about like fannies department.

You just know when James plays the ball it’s going to a blue shirt he’s doing my head in. Get him off.

What was Maguire and Fernandes doing also? Questionable from de Gea also.

We're the victim of our own doing with that goal, Maguire falling over the ball was the start of it.
Maguire probably should have let Fred clean up but he picked out Bruno so I can't blame him.
