I feel we might go with a 3-4-1-2 (or 3-5-2), just to neutralise their attacking threat and Vardy.
DDG
Bailly Lindelof Maguire
AWB Fred Pogba Shaw
Bruno
Greenwood Martial
This isn't our best XI of course. I chose this for a couple of reasons:
I have feeling that Rashford and Matic are knackered from the last game. I'd keep either of Rashford or Greenwood on the bench, in order to bring fresh legs on around the 70' mark.
Matic is also slow and we need someone a touch quicker in the form of Fred in MF.
3-5-2 might be a good answer to their 3-4-3 at least defensively. The usual 4-2-3-1 may not be the best option in this game, its also becoming a tad predictable. We cannot afford to have a repeat of the Southampton or West Ham game.
They will come at full throttle even with their injuries and suspensions, and we need to absorb the pressure. Its important to be solid defensively in this game, and hit them on the break. That should be the way to go.
