    I’ve never been a fan of deciding on fitness the day of for a player coming back from injury. I mean, if he’s not deemed fit today, what’s another 24 hours going to do?
     
    Given the circumstances, I would bet on a nervous and drab affair finishing something like 1-1. Che-Wolv on the second screen will be the fun one.
     
    Win this game then win the Europa then sign Sancho.
    Next season we'll win the World Cup.

    The danger is Leicester scoring early. Remembering back to Rodgers' time at Liverpool they had a habit of exploding out of the blocks and playing with high intensity for the first 15 minutes, which I could see him trying tomorrow.

    The longer the game stays level the more it suits us. We tend to be more comfortable and dynamic when we're in the lead, which effectively is what a tie gives us. We should be looking to use our pace with a solid linkup in the middle, but the latter was almost non-existent against West Ham.

    We are better nowadays when we are in possession in front of other teams penalty area with combination between Martial, Bruno, Greenwood and Rashford. Still need a lots to break the high press though.
     
    Want us to win this. Don't want to be in top four because some other team faltered. We would still have limped across the finish, but the fatigue of the players is clearly visible since last 3 games. If only we had rested the team in the meaningless FA Cup match. But that's all hindsight now. Two of Martial, Rashford and Bruno turn up today, we should outscore them.

    We should deffinetly outscore them with most of their main defenders unavailable to play. It would be an icing on the cake if somehow we end up being 3rd and Chelsea 5th.

    Was bricking it but reading all the negativity in here has me pull my shite together.
    Would have been all over the place if it was all positive in here, cause that almost always ends bad!
     
    11pm kickoff and have to get up for work at 6am. I really hope we can put this game to bed by HT because i'd like to go to bed.

    Our midfield might be the most talented in the league in terms of vision and technique, but it falls short on press resistance. We're going to concede at least one goal from dispossession today.
     
    I’m still not sure what’s better. All out attack or counter attack? We just need to get the job done and i feel if the legs are gone let’s counter.
     
    I feel we will win the game or atleast get a draw. Players know that this is the last game and they will get a big break until Europa league resumes again (Ole suggested he will rest key players for the 2nd round against LASK). So they will give all-in in today's game.

    Please don't give me another heart break dear United. This will be difficult to digest since the Aguero moment if we can't make into CL next season.

    The slight advantage is that Leicester have to win. We don't. So at some point they will have to go for it hopefully exposing their weaknesses.

    It's going to be a nerve jangler
     
    I can't shake the feeling that everything is going to go tits up today, but if we score first we should be ok. Here's hoping!

    What do you use to watch the games retrospectively? I’ll be travelling at 4pm so likely won’t be able to watch live. Sucks ass!
     
    I feel we might go with a 3-4-1-2 (or 3-5-2), just to neutralise their attacking threat and Vardy.

    This isn't our best XI of course. I chose this for a couple of reasons:
    1. I have feeling that Rashford and Matic are knackered from the last game. I'd keep either of Rashford or Greenwood on the bench, in order to bring fresh legs on around the 70' mark.​
    2. Matic is also slow and we need someone a touch quicker in the form of Fred in MF.​
    3. 3-5-2 might be a good answer to their 3-4-3 at least defensively. The usual 4-2-3-1 may not be the best option in this game, its also becoming a tad predictable. We cannot afford to have a repeat of the Southampton or West Ham game.​
    4. They will come at full throttle even with their injuries and suspensions, and we need to absorb the pressure. Its important to be solid defensively in this game, and hit them on the break. That should be the way to go.​

    A few weeks before the lockdown most of us had given up all hope of achieving top 4. We were clinging to the hope of City losing their appeal so we could get in the Champions League with 5th place. Now here we are one match away from 3rd or 4th place, and this place is going to go absolutely bonkers (not in a good way) if we lose. With the injuries that Leicester have, we have no real excuse for losing this match. But you just know that it is going to be horrifically tight.
     
    After switching to 5 at the back against Chelsea and it failing spectacularly, I expect our attacking plan A today, to kill the game with our attack

    If those 3 things happen, I'll vote for him as player of the season.
     
    Leicester have a number of players missing and most importantly Soyuncu at the back.

    We find it hard playing for a draw so we should try and win and we can't miss chances but our strikers have to score them.

    Fully agree. Just simply put, I don’t trust 2 CBs with Vardy. We need 3 at the back for sure.

    But I’d start Rashford instead of Greenwood. He’s a big game player and he’ll be out to prove a point after last game. We need him to take Leicester’s CBs for a ride and open up space for Martial & Co.

    I also like the idea of Fred starting in place of Matic. Need an extremely mobile midfield to keep possession and Fred is good at that. If we secure a lead by second half, we can bring on Matic to lock it down.

    Also I’m not sure starting Shaw is a good idea. I think Brandon will do well in this setup. His speed will be helpful too.
     
    Based on absolutely nothing but pessimism and despite logic and form suggesting we’ll not lose. I cannot fathom a scenario in my mind where we finish in the top 4 and go into the Europa League with no pressure.

    It feels like it’d be too much of a luxury and very un-United post SAF.

    Sincerely hope I’m wrong but I’ve backed us at 3/1 to finish outside the top 4 as a fallback
