We will win this match with two goals, if we concede one goal we score three, if we concede two we score four. Completely convinced of that, I will sleep peacefully tonight. :)

I swear I saw the text Saturday but now it's Sunday? ah feck. I hate waiting.

I think we should play full counter attacking football and learn from Slippy G tragedy.

Not really. We've scored counter-attacking goals in a 4231. More recently Bruno's goal against Brighton.
Not sure what you're trying to point out here.

Each time we approach games with attacks, it's always with counter-attacks depending on when our players feel like doing it and availability of spaces and opportunities. Bruno definitely push for more counter attacking play. Always with 4231, and very few games with 352 (eg. vs weak team this season cup game).

But with 352, we normally play defensive but never only defensive though, there are always counter-attacks involved. Rarely attacking possession with this formation, since it's a system to combat opposing team by nullifying them and hit them hard on the break.

Leicester missing five first team defenders as well as Maddison from midfield. We won't have a better opportunity to get the goals and the win, the problem is, can we hold out at the end and not collapse through stupidity?

Come on lads, one last push on Sunday.

I hope that there's some subconscious handbrake that the players have been dealing with in the past few matches. Both constantly hearing in the press that they're tired, and also knowing that there's always another match 3 days a way.

In theory, this is far simpler, it's all or nothing. No reason to try and conserve energy, or avoid a challenge. Just one match and you get to be in the CL next year, or 1 match and it's more Thursday night trips.

Then you get at least a 10 day break, probably more.

In this case Arsenal will get European football

Yeah but the way they bantered United being in the Europa League, having them play yet another season in the competition against Lincoln Red Imps and the like , while they try to get Top 4 would keep them humble next season.

I think any FA Cup finalists will qualify for Europa Cup qualifiers ?
No that isn't the case anymore, basically Uefa and the FA didn't want lesser teams qualifying for Europe just for making it to the finals.

Maddison is a huge loss for Leicester he pulls the strings. I cant see us loosing unless we bottle it.

Not confident (as per), bad feeling as usual; the WH game under LVG still haunts me. Idk if I can even watch it, getting similar nerves to the ones I felt before Rashy took the pen versus PSG but this time for a whole game.

I am grateful that we could finish the season 3rd after everything though. In a one off anything can happen, I just pray our players can find that extra bit of energy and give it their all for 90 mins. Also some luck would be nice too.

we certainly need to play better than we have of late - since the Bournemouth game we've gone more and more off the boil......we need Bruno to return to his earlier form, Pogba also - we just need to move the ball around faster and get down the wings better and be more assertive at the back......I'm sure we will have lots of possession but we must be very alert to the ball over the top for Vardy to run on to........we are not blessed with pace at the back.

a nice fast-start from us to quell everyone's nerves!

A big part of how we perform is our fullbacks.

Hopefully, Shaw is fit as Williams hasn't been effective at all lately. We had zero width with Williams/TFM.

Although Leicester won't park the bus as they have to win so that will play into our hands.

Early goal from us, them knowing they need to score 2 might open it up leading us to have nice breaks to finish it off...my nerves are praying for this scenario.

Yeah that would be very nice indeed

That's easily the best scenario. Playing it cagey might invite a lot of pressure.

This game is all about getting the first goal. If Leicester get it they'll get the confidence they need, while we have to chase the game with the slowest midfield partnership around, leaving us massively exposed for counters.

I don't want to become overly confident here, especially since we've been shit these last three games. But their injuries are tough for them and Maddison, Pereira, Chilwell and Soyuncu will be missed.
Guess their replacements will have the games of their lives...

I've got a nasty feeling about Jamie Vardy and it's getting worse. Just been watching our "greatest PL goals" - what I'd give for just a couple of those, because, as I say, I reckon Vardy is going to score at least one. We must, must , must start fast and not go for that sitting back and looking to break nonsense of the last couple of games

I've been imagining the worst case scenario this whole week.I'm going to wake up tomorrow morning feeling sick to my stomach.

I am feeling pretty calm, but not very confident. Going to be tight and close this one.
If we can get one early goal that would really help.

Hate to admit it, but I agree. Just get us to UCL, feck the performance.

The temptation will be there to just play it very cagey, because obviously we don't need to win and they do.

Its one of those odd situations where everything seems to favour us. Not needing to win. Key players missing on their side. The need for them to come after us and leave themselves exposed. I cant imagine Leicester will be feeling particularly confident.

I cant see us not scoring, so its difficult not to feel quite confident tomorrow despite the nerves. In this case not having fans there will definitely work in our favour.

    Whatever

This team hasn't done enough to get Champions League football. If we win great but we've had ample opportunity to avoid this situation.

If we avoid defeat on Sunday then we have done enough to get Champions League football
