    Hoping for this:

    --------------De Gea
    Valencia--Bailly--Rojo--Shaw
    -------Carrick---Pogba
    Mkhitaryan---Mata---Martial
    --------------Zlatan

    Expecting something more like this:

    --------------De Gea
    Valencia--Smalling--Rojo--Darmian
    -------Herrera---Pogba
    Mkhitaryan---Rooney---Lingard
    --------------Zlatan

    We will be 1 point behind Liverpool and 2 behind Arsenal if we win. And those teams still have to play each other.

    So important that we win today!

    Liverpool play Spurs next too, so win today and there's a good chance we finally move up from 6th.

    I've been way too pessimistic lately, 0-2 I think it'll finish. Comfortable performance from us to finally put some pressure on the teams above us, we'll be in the top 4 soon, just a little more patience. Not sure what the line-up will be but I have a feeling Shaw, Valencia, Smalling and Rojo will be our back four.

    I genuinely can't see this ending anything other than 1-1.

    Like others have said, have no confidence in this team whatsoever to get the job done when the pressure is on/when others have also dropped points.

    1-1.

    The likes of Pogba, Ibrahimović and Mkhi need to perform today. Goals/Assists.

    De Gea
    Valencia Smalling Rojo Shaw
    Mkhitaryan Herrera Pogba Lingard
    Martial Rasford
    If Jose can muster the fortitude to sit Caf hero Ibrahimovic in this game, the kids will be alright.

    Edited: Smalling for Jones, I forgot he was ruled out.

    Last time we even scored goals from corners. Hope for the same today.

    It was evident last game how many individual mistakes they made within their man marking set piece defense to allow us to score.

    Great example was when Zlatan pulled Morgan out of tha danger zone to allow our player a free header.

    Questions for the lineup:
    — Smalling or Bailly? The latter is definitely better, but seems to have arrived a bit unfocused, which could be costful facing Vardy;
    — Darmian or Shaw (against Mahrez, notice)? I think Mourinho will go for the Italian's assurance;
    — Carrick, Fellaini or none? The three last games United won (Reading h, Hull h, Wigan h, all apparently easier I admit) we started with a two man midfield, so…
    — Can't make any sense of the second line of attack, and I feel it could just be anyone starting, even Lingard! Mkhitaryan seemed undroppable but he's not looking sharp. I guess Mata is the likelier to start.

    Very good questions. It is very difficult to predict this one. I think Darmian will start though.

    We're so good at blowing opportunities we'll probably find a way to lose points today.

    We've been given another opportunity to close the gap here so fully expect us to draw again. 1-1.

    Not really. We have a habit of making poor teams look like they have deserved a draw because we haven't put away one of our many chances. I don't think we've been outplayed in the league by a team below us.
    Maybe not in the league, but several times in the cups.

    We haven't scored from corners and penalties in ages. Just saying.

    So went safe in the end:

    Martial=====Ibra====Mikhi
    =====Pogba==Herrera====
    ========Carrick=======
    Darmian=Rojo=Smalling=Valencia

    Early United team news
    It’s understood Michael Carrick has been dropped for today’s game.

    Carrick has been substituted at half-time in his last two league starts against Liverpool and Hull.

    His demotion could signal a switch to 4-2-3-1.

    And we have to play Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea and Spurs again before the end of the season if i'm not wrong.

    Mourniho making Carrick the scapegoat when he hasn't played at all badly. It should have been Pogba taken off at half time against Hull if it was based off performance.
