Don't care about other results anymore. It's not like we make use of the slips. if the team wants to go to Champions league or Europa League, it's their call. I'm tired of been hopeful and getting let down every fecking time.

Rivals dropping points = we draw.

Only question is 0-0 or 1-1?

I just came in here to say "watch us bottle it now". fecking draw against Hull seems even worse now ffs.

I am weary about the "bottling", which we have seen a few times in recent weeks.
Hopefully though, we won't bottle this game. If we do, it'll be 2 games in a row.

Pondering my selection. I think Carrick will be benched for this with Fellaini coming in. Herrera / Pogba to play deeper. I just hope Bailly and Rojo start as CB. Shaw and Martial on the left.

Pogba, Zlatan and Carrick need to step it up tomorrow. We need to take off players who aren't performing, Pogba and Zlatan were dreadful against Hull. I would like to see Martial, Bailly and Shaw play tomorrow. We need to be clinical, can't keep missing chance after chance.

If we get the 3 points here we can really put pressure on the teams above us faltering. Arsenal are Arsenal, Liverpool are in terrible form and I'm still not entirely convinced Man City have turned things around as they've had a few false dawns this season.

Think all the teams above us will drop a few more points yet and we could really push on and get into that top 4, players need to want it.

Hopefully Jose calling them out ignites a fire in them, we need them to push on and take advantage of our rivals blowing hot and cold.

No no no. It should spark them off but it wont thry are mentally weak amd pretty pathetic and Martial is a pure example. At the first sign of critisism they want out. we need another couple of windows before we weed out the babies in the squad and can roll thier sleeves up and get a job done.

When we play we create chances but rarely do we go out to win a game no matter what and I believe thats joses biggest challenge taking this set of players and turning them into a relentless team that beats other teams by being superior mentally.

As it goes we dont win tomorrow

    Right. We're gonna win this.
As a challenge, if we don't win it, I will not have a wank for a day.

Tough ask that now - Everton do of course have one guaranteed loss in their remaining games (the derby at Anfield), but even that won't give us much scope to cement 6th when we can't score a fecking goal. But 7th won't be so bad - we've been there before, it'll be like being reunited with an old friend :)
Yasss. We go for it !

Another great opportunity to close the gap on some of the top 4, we must take advantage of it this time. Need to score in the first half and open things up. We can start putting a lot of pressure on those above us with a result.

Either everyone is on a massive reverse jinx thing or this thread is full of soft fannies. Leicester are terrible, why wouldn't we win? Jesus everyone is talking as if we are some sort of underdog here.

We are favourites to win, and rightly so.

Hope we get to see Martial and Mkhitaryan tomorrow.

I've conceded we won't make top 4 after the mid-week result against Hull. It's just written that we won't make it. We've missed every chance to catch up with the ones in front of us over recent weeks. Let's be honest, if we actually had more determination/grit/luck - we should be battling with Spurs right now for second.

We just have no cut-throat attitude at the moment.

If we don't win this, then I'll 100% concede top four.

Again we have been given another golden oppurtunity to close the gap, and if the team cant find it in themselves to go for the throat right from the off then some serious questions need to be asked about their mentality and desire to win.

    Indeed.
Our problem is that we start a must-win game, lethargically.
We then enter half-time on 0-0. Jose makes changes and gives the team talk.
We then come out for the 2nd half with more purpose.
At 20 minutes remaining, we begin to apply serious pressure, but by this stage, the opposition GK is proving impossible to pass and begins to earn his MOTM.
At full time we finish with a draw.
MUFC fans think, "how did we not score?".
Opposition fans think, "how did they not score?"

Maybe Jose needs to tell our team before the game, that he doesn't care about drawing. We either go for the win, or we lose while trying to win. This would be a reckless strategy, but I can't see any other method which would solve our 0-0 or 1-1 scoreline problem (after utterly dominating the game).

I've conceded we won't make top 4 after the mid-week result against Hull.

So, we are 4 points away from 4th and you have already given up? :wenger:

I think Leicester can be a tough match for us. We're coming from a draw at home to a team in the relegation zone. I wish and hope we take the first chance we get and score from it. That will open the flood gates. Leicester will sit deep as usual and counter, if we just pass around well and keep the ball we can destroy them.

Martial needs to play, I'm not saying this because I believe he's too good to be dropped but because I think time on the pitch will help him more. Even if he's not awesome, he's a potential awesome player.

We battered them at home but King Power will be buzzing for them because Champions League football attracts more than usual and United are champions league material.

I also hope Bailly starts instead of Smalling and paired with Rojo. Smalling has been messy in the last few games and needs to be given rest.

I have a feeling MkhiT might not start at Leicester but I wish he does because his presence accelerates our attack.

Zlatan is the King and Pogba is genuinely good on the ball and physical. His range of passes are exquisite and he will only improve.

Good feeling about our match today, let's get the 3 points and move up the table. We deserve it! Glory Glory United!

Same here. Usually I am very patient when it comes to football and results. Heck, I wished for Moyes to turn it around till the very day he was sacked. But the cycle of watching every other team drop points and then watch us fail to capitalize on it is beyond depressing. And this has been going on for three years now. Remember when under LvG, we were shit for entire season and then won three high profile matches towards the end of the season and came back into title contention? That is how easy this league is at the moment. It has been ever since SAF left. The teams simply do not have players of quality of Barcelona, Madrigal or Bayern to dominate the league week in and week out. All EPL has is over-hyped managers and let's face is, apart from SAF, any other manager is only as good as the squad he happens to stumble upon at his disposal.

But United have been buying like a top club - spending money on top top players over the last few years. Mata, Depay, Herrera, Falcao, Di Maria, Martial, Pogba, Zlatan to name a few and other clubs cannot even match our strength in transfer market and the kind of money we throw around to get the players available. So I keep thinking, surely, at some point, these guys will live up to the hype we create around them every year, surely we have enough quality to break away from the consistently faltering rivals. But while they are buying second tier players and paying the price, we are buying top notch and still can't manage to so much as keep up with them. It is getter tiring now and has reached a point where every time the team wins a game, I am left with a feeling of "what if.." rather than feeling elated. Today, we go again, having seen the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal drop points and if we win, we will inch closer to a position we have been letting slip away for a good few weeks now - closer to top four.

So if we win and Man City win, we are 1 point off Liverpool in 5th and 2 points off Arsenal in 4th. Not bad.

FFS some of the posts on here, we are unbeaten in the last 10 and Leicester have lost their last 3.
I have got no doubts we will win today.
I thought that so many times this season but we're just not good enough. And teams at the bottom are no push overs

Quite right, but the fact is we have failed to capitalise on every opportunity we have had to catch up. If we had performed to our abilities, we'd have 6 more points now. That would put us in 3rd, and a win today would be 2nd.

You can understand if people expect the worst.

leicester don't even have to show up in an attacking sense. The MUFC of the last three weeks has basically turned up expecting a win, done nothing to actually try and achieve this, then sulked off the pitch after a draw.

if leicester can keep a defensive shape for 90 mins. It's either a draw or loss for MUFC.

Jamie Vardy is about to start his party again against us no dout

Tbh I daren't look at the points difference between us, Arsenal and Liverpool because I can only see us bottling it. It's been two step forwards and one step back this season.

    It hasn't really.

Let's not forget that 1 week into December we were 10-points off Top Four. Tow months later and we are gonna be 2-points off Top Four. That's quite an improvement, given that there are five teams above us and they didn't stop winning for quite a long period over December. Slowly and steadily we are right up the arse of fourth place again. Progress, without doubt, over the past couple months.

I'm convinced we'll finish Top Four, at the expense of Arsenal and Liverpool.

It won't be very easy, Leicester have been diabolical away from home but their home record has not exactly been that terrible. A draw would be a good result for us but given the circumstances and the fact that we are still chasing top 4, we ought to go for a win.
