Will Zlatan play this? Can imagine Mourinho not bothering fielding him for a charity shield, but he might need the fitness given he's not featuring in China.

Dont mean to sound condescending but community shields are usually played with strong teams. I think he'll start anyway considering that he really needs to get to know his teammates

It's not going to be easy, Leicester are going to put a tough fight. They've signed Musa too, who is going to be a pain in the arse as usual. He looked mint in their pre-season game against Barca. Vardy is going to be a pest as usual.

Predicting a Leicester win here followed by the media hyping up that they could be champions again when in reality, this will be the highlight of their season and they'll finish somewhere between 7-10th.

Since 1996, Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool & Chelsea have been winning the community shield with City able to win it once in 2012.

Never had any football-related dreams before, however, last night in my dream we lost to Leicester 1-3. Did not see the goals scored, except for the Leicester's third, which was a penalty.

Agreed, but you can play a strong team without fielding Zlatan.

Got tickets, not really looking forward to going for some reason, probably because the new wembley feels so soulless and the squad still doesn't look fit.

That's what pretty much everybody was saying last season when they were leading the league. They'd say that their aim is 41 points to secure EPL safety.
I was thinking, "No, they are leading the league, they have 2 of the best players in the league and they are going for the league title".

They have lost Kante, but other than him, the team is in tact. 10th place would be very disappointing for them. I think 5th place will be a realistic target for them, assuming that Vardy and Mahrez can stay fit.

Last season was an anomaly unheard of. Don't think 5th is realistic for them.

Our entire club logo looks like an evil version of theirs.

I'm surprised everyone thinks we can win this so comfortably. Leicester team is basically the same XI as last season minus Kante, and we failed to beat them twice last season.

Not super optimistic about getting a result, based on our lack of game time mostly, but quite looking forward to some actual football.

I know it doesn't "mean" anything, but it will be decidedly better than the crap in China.

so they are the same team as last year only they are a weakened team because they lost one of their most important players while we have strengthened at manager, LB, RW, ST and CB so therefore we are a much better side and we didn't lose to them. I understand of you don't think it will be an easy game. But the reason you think it won't be strengthens the argument that we will dick em Sunday. I don't get your logic

I watched the game they played against Barcelona -- they didn't look great, and lost, but I don't see them falling from glory as drastically as I had originally predicted. Good shout for a top four-six finish, I think.

We should have enough to win this, who knows though. These games are always hard to predict. Have gone with 3-0 to us, because it's the start of the season and I'm hopelessly optimistic.

I put a 2-1 United win in the score predictions. Our defense is still gelling, so I expect to give up at least 1 goal, but I think we'll have the firepower to pull out a win with Zlatan, Martial, and Mkhi.

Based off the Everton game, I'm expecting a somewhat dull 1-1 draw and penalties. Hopefully I'll be proved wrong.

Would like to see Ibra, Martial, Rooney and Miki continuing to improve their inter-play.

Mirror saying that Mourinho was looking at Riley as a possible LW option from the bench. If that's true, Januzaj is fecked. This is completely ridiculous.

That could be just temporary while we are making sure shaw rehabilitates properly, managing his minutes

Not surprised about Januzaj since i don't expect him to be part of Jose's 23 man squad for the season.
