Yeah, can see him expecting to actually start most/all of the important games, though. He's comfortably good enough to start for us, it's just whether or not he adapts, or how long it takes. Once he gets into the swing of things, he should be excellent for us.

You're right, it doesn't.

But i'm not surprised he's said it, a few times i've noticed that the media have tried to imply that Vardy was brilliant in his first prem season too. Which he certainly wasn't.

Not much to get excited about. Still a work in progress.

Leicester are still going to cause teams problems with their speed and aggression.

Little movement from our front three which caused us to be very ineffective for most of the match.

Probably a shock for Ibra, he started as though he felt he had all the time in the world, and soon found out he is not going to get the same time he has been afforded in Europe.

Good workout as Leicester played their normal game.

United had conceded a corner before he came off, if I remember correctly. He just turned back and waited for a moment to see if we survive. He wasn't remonstrating. He was looking onto the pitch.

If I had to complain about one thing it would be the fact that at one time we had Valencia at RB, Mata out wide, Blind at CB, Rooney at 10, Fellaini in the middle. Combined with the lack of flow in the game, sent me straight back to LvG era that. :lol:

As long as it's all good and Mata, Mou understand each other than fair fecks otherwise this sucks.

At this point I take team moral over everything going into the season, I don't want to see any of our players feeling left out and out of favor.

Pretty average game all around really, you could still see it was a glorified friendly but two moments of quality won it. Ibra didn't do anything all game but still grabbed the winning goal and that's what the best players do.

A fair view of things. Not getting hot and bothered just yet, but glad we won. Players got another peg up in the preparation processs. I think we will be more than OK at the start. Slightly bewildered why we need quite so many midfielders while a bit light on defenders. No criticism of Jose, just an observation being on the point of buying Pogback.
