I am sorry, but how the feck has Martial supposedly not taken his opportunities with both hands? Bullshit.
Ok, what the feck is going on?

It seems Mourinho always has to have one player or member of staff he is singling out and making an example of. If he doesn't he is just bored.

I really hope the news of Martial being left out again isn't true.

No expert, but isn't unnecessary to play counter attacking? Wouldn't it be easier to control the game and let the opponents "chase" the ball - therefore a strong lineup (players that can "keep" the ball) would be prefered to avoid Hull from scoring.
Depends on who we have in midfield to control the game and what Jose wants to do. Going for a counter attacking style to grab an away goal and finish the tie sounds pretty good to me if we're playing half a reserve side.

Yes, but isn't that taking a bit of a risk? Isn't a title a priority? That's why I think it will be a "normal" lineup today and playing on counter attacks with the regular team is unnecessary in my opinion when you have the capacity to control the game.

He's scored 2 goals in his last 3 starts and was one of our most threatening players in 2 of them and wasn't near our worst in the third.
Agreed. I want to see more of him. Not sure why he's deemed to be the crux of our attacking deficiencies.

It's a nothing story, all he said was there is competition for the attacking spots in the team and Martial didn't do enough to ward off the competition in the Liverpool game.

He is underwhelming considering what he is capable of. Everyone is, we are experiencing a major issue scoring goals. If anyone had half of Ibra's goal stats we would be a lot closer to the top.

We shall see. We have a 2 goal cushion in this tie. Arguably it could be more important to rest a few players to have them ready against Wigan (to avoid the possibility of a replay) and the next game.

Which to me is absolute bullshit

Yes we shall, but to me this is the more important game given the fact that there's a huge chance of winning a title since the opponent in the final would be Southampton (a team that should be beaten). But I agree that it's good to take every chance you get to rest your most important players.

We need the Tony Martial of last season but how is he ever gonna get to that level if he ain't playing. It'd be gutting if he ends up doing a Di Maria. Just imagine where we'd be if we had the Rashford and Martial of last season in this squad!

No reason why he shouldn't be starting the next two games at he very least. He has deserved it on recent form.

    They've arrived
Panic over. United have arrived at the KCOM Stadium (with the help of a police escort).

That's fair enough but if he is dropped from the squad again tonight that seems a little more strange and that is the premise I was making the comment on.

    Axel Tunazebe in the squad?
Axel Tuanzebe could be in the squad tonight after he was seen getting off the United coach at Hull.

The traffic has been bad around the City all day, the roads in this town are horrendous. They usually get an escort out of the ground along with supporter coaches up to the A63.

feck off. What on earth is happening? Absolutely appalling. How is Martial supposed to build up confidence and 'grab his opportunities with both hands' when he doesn't get to play?

Is Shaw still injured? If not, then that's a huge vote of no confidence from Jose. Rojo at leftback.

Good midfield; shite attack. Having said it, still expect Lingard and Rashford to impress with some direct statistical input

No reason to use Ibra, pogba or Carrick really. Also what happened with resting De Gea? Or is that for the wigan game. Hopefully we see a lot more rotation for the Wigan game, would like to see a lot more of the fringe players like TFM, Shaw, Martial get starts, even the likes of Rooney and Mata because why not (along with Rashford/Lingard like today).

He's on the bench, so he has got further than Martial.

Martial might as well stay in France or wherever the feck he is. He is not getting into the squad even if he washes dishes for Mrs Mourinho.

Well maybe his effort and behaviour is not up to the required standard

Rojo going to play shit then everyone gets on his back when he's a terrible LB.

Lingard and Rashford on the wings... There's even more creativity in a chicken korma than that.
