Just because many people don't know as much about the clubs / players in the EL, they seem to just dismiss them as rubbish and it'll be a walkover.
Whereas, because they see the likes of Villa, Leeds, Palace, Wolves, Burnley (all 9th-15th in the PL), etc, regularly, they recognise that those clubs warrant respect for being tough to beat or dangerous on the break, from SP's, etc.
The same applies to EL teams who are top of smaller leagues or upper/mid table in stronger leagues.
