Correct. This is not a football game, it's a physical scrap. The pitch isn't the only thing. Rostov's game plan includes thuggish play and relentless fouling to unsettle us. I can see how Bayern were unnerved by all this.
I think Mourinho has done brilliantly to set the team up in this unusual way. We will not suffer the same fate as Bayern because we have a smarter coach who understands how to counter the opponent's tactics and game plan.
