End to end game that could end up either way. Obviously very disappointed to be level at half time considering we were 2-0 up.

Rashford is looking very dangerous tonight which is great to see. Long may that continue. Also really happy Hojlund is off the male for the season.

Having a footballer as average as Dalot 'stepping into midfield' is just making things far more complicated than it needs to be.

Our main problem for like 4 years now....

It doesn`t help when you have two older guys in midfield with no real pace and half your defense is just ball watching at times. We really need to figure out how to defend properly before we can challenge for anything

Left back pushing up into midfield is a disaster. Martinez left 2 on 1 every time.
Nah, our problem has been Porto being able to develop overloads down Rashford's side allowing them all the time in the world to pick crosses with no pressure. Rashford or the CM that side need to start pressing harder in those areas. Prime Maldini at LB wouldn't be able to stop that without assistance.

Maz isn't coming in on the right like Dalot is on the left, Is Dalot following the plan and Maz knows better? or is Dalot rogue? either way Eth should be stopping this madness

It’s the tactical set up. Dalot is the extra man in midfield whereas Maz provides support on the right wing. It means we look totally lopsided though and that Rashford gets virtually no support on the left.

Left back can't be isolated if we got no left back. I can't argue against that logic. Just like how we can't get overrun in midfield if we have no midfield. Truly ahead of our time.

Ten Hag: "hey guys, I've got a brilliant idea on how we can eradicate goalkeeping mistakes once and for all".

It's not tactical when you look at the decisions the players are making. It's a lack of effort and application. Probably still on the manager but it seems to me looking at the two ridiculous recent goals where one player ran the length of the pitch that Ten Hag has lost some of the players.

    Happens every game though.

First 20 mins, Bruno was holding back, making some good interceptions and block. Then suddenly stopped doing so. I really have no idea what his role is anymore

Oh wow, didn't realize how lazily Rashford watched his man run straight past him which allowed him to cross the ball on the first goal and then a half assed effort of a block on the second goal too.

He has looked dangerous in attack but c'mon.

Our first choice defence is quite shit tonight. Have we been sold a pup in de Ligt?

Even if we win this game, you can't take much else from it apart from we are so structurally poor, and the manager has not done anything that fixes the problem.

Blaming Dalot and Martinez for not stopping the crosses while Rashford is on screen literally in sprinting distance watching the crosser is peak punditry. Well done. Nob

Rashford allowed the cross. 0 shits given defensively by that man. If he just moved slightly to try and challenge the crosser...
Agree he didn't do enough on both crosses for there goals.. drag him off ffs leave him in Porto fly home without him he's bloody useless

Comedic defending from us at 2-0 up. It's like we switch off to the threat. Our defenders play like they have loads of time and are neither aware of their opponents or their teammates. Laughable.

    RvN isn't the answer.

    Don't strikers make poor managers?

Why is Onana glued to his line for their 2nd. He can see the cross coming in and it's head past him from literally right in front of him. Come out and claim the ball

Good teams don't throw away leads as many times as we have since the start of last season. Feels like CL last season and games vs Copenhagen and Galatasaray.

Blaming Dalot and Martinez for not stopping the crosses while Rashford is on screen literally in sprinting distance watching the crosser is peak punditry. Well done. Nob
But at least Rashford has G+A, while Martinez and Dalot have 2 shits to share

I wouldn't be blaming De Ligt for the goal. It was a perfect cross and a great header, the problem was letting the cross come in.

Either team could get the next goal. It's that open. It'll be just our luck that it'll be Porto.

Goldfish up to his usual nonsense, where the feck is Onana suppose to palm the ball to? You stop it from going in and you hope your defence reacts....
