The criticism should fit the crime. The hyperbole regarding Rooney is hard to take seriously. I've never seen a bigger over reaction towards a player, ever. Has he been good? No. Has he been as bad as some would have us believe? Hell no.

He's been alright, but had some shocking passes and seems to be off the pace. Still, we've seen worse matches, and yeah, a lot of people on here don't want to be even-handed in their criticism.

I've seen two quick situations where Rojo/Schweini gave away the ball idiotically, and then Mata did the same, just outside our own box. Rooney's failings have been far more benign (if more plentiful), but he'll get them beying for blood. It's ridiculous.
