Malacia needs a rest and a bit of a reset after two woeful games. McTominay is a fraction of the player Casemiro is. Martial up front and Rashford on the left, as he's been playing far better than Sancho.

He’s usually good with Martial though, it does change the dynamic a lot when you’ve got a striker that can make it stick and wants to play in triangles high up the pitch.

I agree with the thought behind this, but it did feel like in the last europa game Bruno was playing a bit more like an 8. But in general yeah id prefer a fully functioning mid 3 rather than a 2 and a 10.

I’m pleased with this XI. Anything short of a disemboweling of the opponent today would be a disappointment, though if we scrape the win we’ll take it and wait to work through the gears to start putting clubs like Everton away without worrying about the late equalizer.

I'd have had Fred in rather than Bruno or ever Eriksen...but hopefully we can with the midfield battle and batter this lot for all the pain they've inflicted on us in recent seasons.

Could this be our final visit to Goodison? I've always liked it as a traditional British stadium with a terrific atmosphere, but it is now outdated. We usually get a difficult game there.

As for the team, I would have also put either McTominay or Fred in the midfield and sacrificed a forward player. I hope we enough bite in there. I'm glad to see Casemiro starting, but I would have continued with Malacia. He's had a poor couple of games, but he's only a young lad, and I don't like chopping and changing all the time because of a poor game or two. I would have picked him and watched how he goes.

Tough one to call, as always it depends upon which United turns up. The last couple of games have been terrible; fingers crossed for a better performance.

I'm going for a draw.
