I really wish Ten Hag would turn the midfield triangle around and force Bruno to do more defensive work. Use Casemiro as a defensive midfielder behind Bruno and Eriksen. You look at Casemiro, Eriksen and Bruno and think it’s a 3 man midfield, but Bruno plays so forward and doesn’t come back into midfield so it’s more of a midfield 2 and a front 4, instead of a midfield 3 and a front 3…

hopefully Martial and Rashford will put more pressure on the Everton defense so we don’t end up getting overrun in midfield again because we are outnumbered.

He clearly is our third best cb, and while he’s not in the top tier of Center backs, he’s a lot better than most people give him credit for. Been a very reliable servant since he signed. His errors get magnified because people are obsessed with his physical deficiencies, but he’s actually pretty dependable. Decent at everything without being great at anything.

That's a really risky midfield for an away fixture especially after the Man City hammering.

Fred should have started over Bruno imo.

More or less the team you would expect at this point. That attack is our most in form and potent attack we can put out right now. Shaw in for Malacia is expected after their respective performances the other night.

I see Varane is back on the bench, which is good.

Yeah i was thinking exactly the same. Bruno has played as an 8 before at Sporting and it allows Casemiro to play in his best position.
