    Too much power to broadcasters. When media made the great thing about fan power when they overthrown super league I thought they will put fans and players well being as top priority in coming seasons.

    Now show their true face. They just want their money. No preference to fans who are base for their business. Chelsea vs man utd date announcement another example how they treated football fans. Pathetic.

    But also they announced too late. Give preference to fans first. To allow them to plan and prepare for travel. They can make this as priority. It's not too much to ask for them to announce fixture dates bit early.

    I can't remember the last time it happened either, outside of the covid season maybe. I guess BT wouldn't normally select a team who have a Europa game on Thursday for their weekend coverage, and Sky's 'Super Sunday' coverage runs for most of the afternoon on a Sunday so it can't clash with that?
     
    Don’t know what to expect. Hoping we just get the win. That lot finished unbeaten against us last season despite having their worst ever PL season.

    Prediction, Everton players will put in an all Mighty effort in the first 20 minutes as usual. This will unsettle United who, as we know, are bad starters. If Everton get a goal ahead, I fear for us. How many managers have been sacked after an Everton game? United just don’t give me any confidence these days that we can give every team a game. If Varane doesn’t play, we’re goosed.

    We played on a Sunday night during covid but apart from that it’s never happened I don’t think
     
    Kind of dreading this game. A good win really would build confidence that the city game was just us being beaten by a far better team and being off pace after a month off. If we win here it's 5 wins from 6 with a defeat at city and we're right in the mix with the best of the rest.

    We played Villa some years ago in the FA Cup on a Sunday evening with a 7.45 KO. RVN scored a brace.

    Cannot remember a league game though

    It’s because they agreed this year that games wouldn’t be played within 48 hours of a European match, which would have been the case if it was in the usual BT time slot for their picks.

    Like the look of that team on paper considering Varane isn't available. The only thing id be tempted to try would be dropping Bruno for Fred and playing Eriksen in the AM role
     
    Shaw, martial and rashford have to come in. Shaw and rashford seem to have a good connection and chemistry down that left side. That could help create a lot of chances. Martial loves playing against Everton so he’ll be fired up today. I’m a bit worried about the defence though, if Varane doesn’t start then it will most likely be lindelof with martinez. That doesn’t give me much confidence.
     
    My ideal line-up today would be:
    DDG; Dalot, Lindelof, Martinez, Malacia; Casemiro, Fred/Mctominay, Eriksen; Antony, Rashford, Martial.
    Have to play with three central midfielders from here on out or we will continue to get overrun in midfield.
    Bruno doesn't deserve a start cuz he hasn't been good enough for nearly 2 years. But if the coach insists, then he has to start in place of one of the wingers. But personally I prefer Antony and Martial right now to Bruno.
     
    Before the break and the City thrashing I would have been looking forward to this, now its back to dreading football again. I know ETH will get us on the right path but after a respite of a few weeks im back to not looking forward to games again. I hope Marcus and Tony start, we are better when they play.

    Utter drivel. Yes he has bad games and loses possession but go back and look at his stats for feck sake. Also Antony and Martial do not play in the AM position

    Someone posted a couple of days ago saying Scholes and Hargreaves both said they think it’ll be Rashford, Ronaldo and Martial or front 3. Honestly, do our ex-players ever watch our matches properly? They want to drop Antony and put Rashford or Martial on the right when they’ve done absolute nothing in that position for years now.

    They played with Ronaldo and still think he is the same player that they played with or are just 'mates'. Martial could score a hattrick today as CF and they still will call Ronaldo the best CF option with Martial playing from the wing. It wont change. Ronaldo will always be in their best XI team.

    Since early last season, he has been nothing short of awful for Manchester United and when he's playing poorly (which has basically been since Ronaldo joined) the impact on the team is particularly strong because he upsets the balance of the entire team due to his inability to excel in any other position. He doesn't help out in midfield whuch leads to us constantly getting outmanned in midfield against even terrible teams and no longer makes up for it with production going forward.
