I’m just waiting for that 1 game where we blow the opposition away. After every bad game/performance I always feel like the manager will bollock them and then they’ll come out in the next game all guns blazing but it never happens. Anyway I want us to try a midfield 3 of Fred, Casemiro and eriksen. With a front 3 of rashford, martial and Antony. I think that will give us the most balanced team. Also means we can play more of a 4-3-3 system. I know it ain’t gonna happen though because Bruno never gets dropped.
10 February 2025 is, I believe, the slated day...

Ha ha! Just go to bed fed up instead!
I do think we’ll smash them today. It’s Everton. We owe them a pasting and they are fragile as hell.
Are they? Defensively they look strong. Think we may struggle to break them down.

They’ve improved a lot recently. A midfield three of Gueye, Onana, and (weirdly) Iwobi is doing well. We’ve lost midfield battles to weaker teams plenty of times.

Best defence in the league, 7 conceded. But only scored 7 as well. Which will change tonight? If we turn up apathetic again, I’m guessing the goals scored column will.

Goal scoring isn’t our problem so we should be alright. It’s their goal scoring that gives me hope.
Score one and we should get over the line

At least United can't ruin my entire Sunday afternoon
Benefits of being the last game of the weekend (not including Monday game) we can enjoy the weekend  Hate the early kick offs because if we lose then that’s the weekend ruined but I don’t mind if we win early, can enjoy rest of the games.

They don’t even have that good of a squad though. We have a far better team then them and should be able to put them away comfortable. If we turn up that is. Big IF.

Seeing Varane in a lot of predicted line-ups…isn’t he out for weeks?

Everton defend in numbers and attack with pace. United fullbacks must be in their top of the game to contain their width. They aren't easy opponents at their home for any team. Liverpool was lucky to get a draw there. Chelsea also struggled there to get three points.

Frank got the best out of them as a unit.Early days yet but looked like Everton faithfuls enjoyed their team so for. Players fight for each other and not allowing opposition to breath. Their new signings also integrated very well.

Eth will see a pretty good challenge for his team against a energetic physical opponent.

We have the better players, but whether we have the better team is quite debatable, as I have yet to see our players play as a team. Everton seem to have that part a bit more together.

That I am not confident our players will be up for it says a lot about this team. You just get the feeling some don't fancy pressure.

United won't win this. Our players collectively do not apply themselves to the fight enough. They did it against Liverpool and to a lesser extent against Arsenal, but the last two games show they don't realise you have to do that in every single game these days.

Anyone know what the traveling squad is? Just wondering if Varane travelled.

if we line up with Bruno and Eriksen we are not winning. Both dont work in the same team and they dont work hard enough in the defensve set up

Yep. Zero credibility and will to win big things.

Hate playing these feckers at Goodison. Not as shite as they were, be surprised if we won this. Would take a draw…

United can win this match. But Everton didn't play like liverpool or arsenal. They collectively defended well this season. Without Europe and got considerable rest between games compared to teams in Europe they can afford to play this way.

Will be a tough match and very good challenge for your team and manager. European travel a drawback for your team. How much eth can shuffle your squad any idea?

He will play the same 11 probably as midweek and we'll lose to the usual misweek european game tiredness that happens. Id hope bruno and sancho are dropped. Really should have to earn your place in the first eleven.

Hope we recover from the inevitable opening goal from Tarkowski or Coady from a corner.

I was thinking the same. Is this gonna be a new thing this season or is it just a one off? I guess it beats playing early when we’ve just had a Thursday game.
No idea mate. Usually it is 15.00 and 17.30.

    Odd KO time.

Really want to see Fredamiro in the middle with Eriksen taking Bruno's spot.

I'd drop Sancho and play Rashford Tony and Antony

    Ah, that makes sense.

I'm not moaning, I prefer an evening game but I can't remember this happening before (a televised 7pm Sunday game).
It’s fortunate that it’s a short distance because if this were down south we’d be livid. The messing around we’ve got for our game against you lot is bad enough.

First 5 minutes is important as we saw against City. Start slow and they could end up bombarding us. That’s why I feel we should strengthen the midfield for this one.
