Has to be said that had it been McT caught in possession (for the second time in two games) for the everton goal and missing a sitter, there would be outrage here. Also, I thought we'd ended DDG playing it out short from the back - still putting the man under pressure with poor balls.

Other than that, we've been very good at times (although giving the way cheaply too much). I was going to be critical of Martial but clearly was not fit (again. it seems to happen every day there's a "y" in it)

Excellent half. Totally dominant, could've scored more. All they did was a shot from range and couldn't lay a glove on us after.

Big shame about Martial. We are a different team with him on the pitch, but he can't stay on the pitch.

Not a bad halve. Controlled most of it but still we need to cut out the sloppy passing. Casemiro made up for his last mistake by the tackle and then the assist. Let’s give him a run of games.. mctominay and Fred was still starting week after week after 10 mistakes a game. Happy Ronaldo scored. He needed that

True - I do like that he's always looking to make something happen from deep though, and his passes are quick and sharp. Can't understand how he missed that free header.

Everyone makes errors, I think the difference is how little it effects his composure, keeps making the right decisions, sometimes his execution or sharpness might let him down but the composure and reading of the game is there. He has been really quite good.

So used to the likes of Fred or MCT going to pieces after an error, making it worse instead of better.
