    Hoping for this:

    ------------De Gea
    Valencia--Jones--Rojo--Blind
    --------Herrera---Pogba
    Mkhitaryan--Mata--Martial
    -------------Zlatan

Yup, I think this is the preference of most. I'd rather keep Carrick as a sub for this one if necessary, and keep him for Thursday.

I expect Rashford and Lingard will be 2 of the subs I think, but who knows with Jose.

I hope this will be like last year where we won 3-0 easily. Probably one of our easiest games at the Goodison Park in the last 10 years.

I've understood Mourinho's team selection so far this season - I read a lot of people being perplexed by it, but I think he has sound arguments for leaving out one or two players so far this season.

With that being said, if he doesn't play Mhiky today then I'll be flabbergasted.

Anyone want to venture why Jose would choose Darmian at left back for today rather than Blind?
… and Swansea away, and Arsenal and West Ham at home. Is he a more attacking threat? Because it allows Mourinho to have only a defensive option on the bench? Can't figure it out.

It is baffling, considering how average Darmian is. He does his job but that's it, doesn't offer much more than a average shift.

Blind was great for us last season as a CB and maybe Mourinho only sees him mainly as cover for that position but I don't know, just see him as such an adaptable player.

I've gone for Blind starting there, but something tells me it will be Darmian for some strange reason. Will have to wait and see!

Just had this idea, it could be because Blind is our last centerback available and Mourinho doesn't want to risk him, if that makes any sense.

I don't usually ask but Virgin has gone off and I've been looking forward to this match. Does anyone know of a good river?

Well that's a rather bitchy Samuel.

Williams in for a TV camera display
Since the game is being televised live on television, it’s a safe bet that Ashley Williams will play out of his skin. He seems to play up for the cameras, be it for Wales or his former club Swansea, and he has had a habit of morphing into Paolo Maldini whenever he faces United. He’s a good defender but there’s a reason he remained at Swansea for so long and moved on to Everton.

Williams lined up in all three of Swansea’s Premier League wins over Louis van Gaal’s United.

    That's quite funny actually.

M.E.N in full speculation mode again.

    Four United players disappointed

A 20-man squad stayed overnight at the Liverpool Hilton, so four players from the 27-man set-up will be left disappointed today.

You can probably discount five players from the possible ‘disappointed’ set: Bailly is just returning from injury, Smalling is still injured, Shaw is probably out injured, Rooney is suspended and Sam Johnstone will have travelled to support the goalkeepers.

Memphis, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger and Fosu-Mensah, maybe?

At the time of writing, no team has leaked for this afternoon’s game.

Maybe it was because our attacking play was the epitome of utter gash under van Gaal?

    United squad
Here is the available squad for today’s game. 22 names here, meaning four will not make the match day 18.

Manchester United squad: De Gea, Romero, Blind, Jones, Darmian, Fosu-Mensah, Rojo, Valencia, Carrick, Herrera, Mkhitaryan, Fellaini, Pogba, Lingard, Mata, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Young, Depay, Martial, Rashford, Ibrahimovic

    Everton squad
Here’s the Everton squad that Ronald Koeman has to choose from. Again, four from this group will miss out.

Everton squad: Stekelenburg, Robles, Williams, Funes Mori, Jagielka, Coleman, Baines, Oviedo, Holgate, Gueye, McCarthy, Barry, Cleverley, Davies, Barkley, Bolasie, Mirallas, Deulofeu, Lennon, Lukaku, Valencia, Kone.

    Early squad news
The stadium cameras just peeked into the away dressing room, where Herrera’s, Mata’s and Fellaini’s shirts were all hung up. No surprise they’re in the 18 today.

    I hate F*ckhurst

    I'm fully confident. We'll score 4 today.

    This might amuse some people.

    Lingard in "contract dispute"
Jesse Lingard is reportedly delaying signing a new five year deal with United worth £60,000 a week, that would double his current salary.

The 23-year-old is in no hurry to leave, but, according to the Mirror, he and his advisors are holding out for more money with the average wage at the club higher than what is currently being offered.

He is likely to be on the bench today after the performance of the attackers in midweek.

I wouldn't usually be very confident about this fixture as Everton away is usualy tricky for us but I'm really looking forward to our matches again!!
Everton have had a terrible November. Hopefully their poor form continues and we take the 3 points. Martial to score again today. : )

Our midfield has looked very strong in recent weeks. No need to start him ffs. Bring him on to defend set-pieces.

    This seems pointless.

    Confirmed United squad members
Here are the United players seen arriving at Goodison:

    Martial

    Rashford

    Rojo

    De Gea

    Darmian

    Blind

    Bailly

    Romero

    Herrera

    Fellaini

    Pogba

    Zlatan

    Mkhitaryan

    Mata

Four names short of a match day 18, of course.

    Four more squad members spotted
Lingard, Valencia, Jones and Carrick also at Goodison, which would take Mourinho up to 18 players.

20 stayed overnight at the Hilton in Liverpool.

    Team news in 15 minutes
Official team news due at 3pm. Of those missing from the 18 filmed arriving are the likes of Schweinsteiger, Young, Schneiderlin, Memphis and Fosu-Mensah.

I try not to look at the league table too much especially this early in the season but I did and this is a massive game which could define whether we can some how get a winning run or that we concentrate on the cup competitions.

    Need 3 points here badly
