    Passing back in injury time when not winning should be a capital offence. Awful negative stuff. Van Gaal is a negative manager.
     
    Such a LVG performance and result.

    Boring as feck, even when we had the chance to attack in the last few minutes we were happy to keep passing it back.

    Persist with the most out of form striker in the team, get your most in form player and shift him out of position, keep possession but don't do much with the ball.

    I remember when I used to enjoy watching fast, attacking football.

    In the meantime, City win their game vs Sevilla with a last minute winner. What we should be doing.
     
    A point in Moscow is fantastic although a bit disappointing considering the way the game went, was there to take all three points but we let it slip sadly. We should beat both Moscow and PSV at home.

    That PSV game with the Shaw leg breaker was the gutting one. Clearly should have beaten them and feel we would have done if that injury hadn't of happened. Three points there and we'd be in a brilliant position now.
     
    Shit game. Result I called. This team is still miles away from worrying any top teams especially with these tactics and continuing to play the likes of an awful Wayne Rooney.

    Just need to win our two remaining homes games and maybe get something in Germany. Will go through for sure but bar an easy draw I think that's as far as we will go.
     
    4 points after 3 games...okay I suppose. 10 points is the target.2 home wins;6 points from the last 3 games should see us through.
     
    Wasn't able to watch, but that's a reasonable result. Win the 2 remaining home games and we will go through. Now win on Sunday.
     
    theres something about this philosophy that really pisses me off..calmness is great but if in the last minute we are going not kick a free kick into the box when we have a 7 foot pole of a man in our team and instead just pass it around like we are happy with not winning games then theres something wrong with this philosophy...being satisfied with a draw when you can win a match was never fergies way and is definitely not the man utd way.

    Considering where we were under Moyes, we are looking better and learning so don't see the need for the pessimism
     
    Poor stuff - but that point means that if we can our home games, we will be in good shape
     
    Glad we got a point. Losing would have been a disaster. Need to win at home - we'll be fine. Now we need to concentrate on City.

    On another note - Rooney must be slower than me and and I'm how much years older:lol:

    Hindsight eh? How many times have we seen that tactic lead to a breakaway goal? Citeh nearly conceded the same way in the last minute

    We got to the quarter finals of CL and semi of League cup despite an aging squad and many a player not enjoying working for him. That season was shite but yes I see improvement just not much I'm afraid. Thus my pessimism.
     
    Yeah, people expecting everyone to lie down. "shambolic","pathetic","disasterous"etc. Are people really that far up their own arses? Cska have Musa and Doumbia, if you go gung fecking ho you will be torn apart. With a proper striker we would have won this.

    doesnt stop teams from trying to win a game..risk is a part of the game. its not just one single thing, there are many (like our left back not overlapping at all) which are symptomatic of overcautious and uninteresting football. im less bothered with the result and more with the playing style.

    edit---.putting a freekick into the box doesnt require all your players to go in there..we could have had fellaini and smalling in there along with the forwards and the rest mainly valencia blind scheniderlin and jones staying back for the counter. its the intent of the tem thats upsetting not the result
     
    Adequate,Moscow were there for the taking.Disappointing, frustrating night with a negative attitude by united.Martial was a huge positive tonight though.
     
    Valencia has to be the dumbest player in the game. So so brainless. I know it gets said often, but geez every time i watch him it boggles my mind how much football intelligence he lacks.

    I know the guy never looks up when he crosses but does he even think when he kicks the ball?. The process is run straight towards the corner flag and just drill it into the middle. Rince and repeat. i think he's a robot on some sort of auto pilot mode. Has to be. He surely cant be that thick.

    The backline was very shaky, midfield ineffective, top line pretty useless.
