I just don't understand the 'strategy'? What are we trying to do? How is it that LVG (and Giggs) have sent us out to create chances?

It's not through the middle, that's clear enough from the lack of movement to support Herrera.

Out wide Rojo isn't overlapping, so it's not through the left side.

The only consistent avenue has been to get Valencia and Lingaard against 2, and let Valencia cross it. But Rooney is the only man in the middle, often against FOUR!

Our FBs are not doing enough as attackera, they really need to take some notes from the CSKA FBs. Fellaini coming on as a sub is fine, but it has to be one of Bastian or Morgan, having two sitting CMs where the opposite team are happy to let us have the possession is not helping.

Also, Rooney is not good as a lone striker when teams are defending deep, not much movement to offer in such situations. Their CBs have him in their pockets.
