I don't see what else he can do. Rooney's movement is minimal. Both Martial and Lingard are very wide. The full backs aren't pushing too high, and there's no runners from midfield. We're just not taking any risks it seems, and quite justifiably. CSKA look a menace on the break. They look capable of dismantling us every time they intercept the ball.
We'd have more to aim for if Martial was in the middle. He can run behind or drop in to receive the ball and have a go at a defender. He's too far out wide to have a real impact.
Will probably be taken off for Fellaini.

The funny thing is that our players are capable of doing fast, 1-touch passing, into the net, with few passes (they did against Everton), but LVG's preference is slow, zombie passing.

Over the weekend Herrera was completely invisible until he scored, then boom he was all over the place making things happen. He's been a bit like that again today, only he hasn't suddenly clicked.

Martial has been isolated on the wing, but he's also been handcuffed by a very tidy display from their winger and fullback.
Rojo seems scared to death of making mistakes, and is therefore making mistakes.
Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin have been our two best field players imho, they've been all over the pitch and have been solid.
Lingard has also been one of our few bright spots.

I know he is good aerially, but if they are defending so well surely none of the wingers will get the chance to whip in a cross and their defenders will get to it anyway?- Status
