We're playing well. The tempo dropped a bit in the last 15 minutes. We need to up it again but we were passing crisply and purposefully for most of the half.

    Moaners gonna moan.

Our passing was purposeful but garbage unfortunately. Good intentions and all that.

I wonder if Ole tells these players that they have to touch the ball 5+ times before they're allowed to move it on?

Most exciting thing that's happened in that half is me going for a piss.

Bruno served the ball on plate to Maguire, but "he's not expecting it". Wow..

Must have really loved LVG, that half was dull as dishwater
We're second in the league while scoring the most goals which means we're playing attractive football. :wenger:

They just ignore the 2 outlier games where we scored about 15 goals. Take that 2 games out and we're around the middle of the table in terms of goals scored.

You could tell me that this was a Jose or LVG managed match and I would believe you. No idea why some people are saying OGS is playing good football

People do not want to hear it, but we are so poorly coached. Greenwood and Rashford constantly making the same errors every single game. Ole keep talking about when are forwards click, they won't click without coaching. They aren't trying anything in terms of link play, it is all individual stuff that keeps breaking down and destroying confidence. Nothing, absolutely nothing coming from the sideline. These performances keep happening every single time we play a team we should be beating easily. We are so far off competing as a club, in every aspect. If liverpool didnt have the injuries they have had, we would be miles behind them too.
Chelsea under Tuchel will overtake us too. I am at a lost as to how people can defend this set up. I love Ole the player, but we are going nowhere.
have to agree - mainly because I've been saying the same for at least a year

Bruno needs to play better, he's nowhere near the quality he's been lauded for this season.

In fact, everyone just needs to play better football.

It’s games like this I cannot understand why Ole sticks with two holding midfielders. Palace have sat back all game. Surely Van De Beek would be a better option in this game? I don’t understand why he’s been ousts as an option. Give the guy some minutes. After all we decided to blow €40m on the guy.

Stop-start football. But should be leading still. Need to keep using our fullbacks as Palace have crowded the middle area on the edge of the box. One of the crosses from wide will eventually find a target.

This one's probably watching the highlights from last season's game against Palace.

Yeah there is no doubt this team needs to be coached better but Ole is just too stubborn to appoint some coaches with the required level of experience that Carrick & McKenna just don't have at all

I hate to break it to you but City are now the team with most goals scored in the league.

Hes not even on the bench tonight

Christ, what's the score in the game your watching mate? Sounds a cracker

You're kidding. We had 10 minutes of looking lively up the left, the rest has been brutal.

Sorry but Ole is clueless about how to change how games are going and seems to no nothing abut tempo: it is so obviously hard to up the pace once you start slowly: it's Selhurst Park not Nou Camp 2006!

Even the one Wan Bissaka put in, there should two or three players trying to get on the end of it. Our midfielders are sitting on the halfway line.

That is the one good thing about Guardiola. Once the winger goes down the flank and crosses it in, there is always players waiting in the box to score directly or indirectly. There is no one better than Guardiola than passing the ball essentially into the net.

We instead have to rely on individual brilliance to score.

Bit of a knee jerk on Tuchel. Chelsea were awful at the weekend, even worse than us. I know he has only just arrived but they spent a fortune in the summer also. Cant see him even being there long.

Another game that screams Greenwood isn't a right winger for me...
Also lacking creativity and sustained control in the middle.

This team would benefit from being able to play with one DM rather than two and having Pogba back in the team in the same form he was when he got injured. There is literally no interchange between the holding midfielders and Bruno who has to keep picking the ball up in a deep left back position.

No tempo it's far too slow. Movement needs to be much quicker. Can't have everything happening down the left flank. Need to get Greenwood into the game more. Obvious sub is James. On 60 mins if we dont speed it up more.

Played well for about 10 minutes, then it went back to shit again. Our right side is not working at all, Greenwood's had a stinker. All our forward players have the same problem, sloppy as feck on the ball.

If this ends 0-0 we'll have had as many goal-less draws in the league this season as the previous 3 seasons combined

One of our biggest problems is that when our wingers get the ball the first thought on their mind is to try and score. They want to cut in to their strong foot and it slows everything down. A wingers first thought should be to try and assist. If Greenwood has the ball Cavani should be making the near post run and Rashford the far post and vice versa...

Get off this site and do your team talk Ole. Embarrassing that the first thing you think of at half-time in a game and performance like this is to defend yourself here.

Has to be tactical that because matic drops into left cb every game he plays.

If it isn't, shame on ole for letting it continue
It must be. It's a fine tactic against teams that press, but as we only ever play him against poor opposition, then it because a futile exercise.

Lackluster for the most part, 2 or 3 decent crosses in but we need up the tempo and apply more sustained pressure.

Bruno needs to play better, he's nowhere near the quality he's been lauded for this season.

In fact, everyone just needs to play better football.

He certainly isn’t on form but same time, he looks absolutely shattered.

We'll probably be better in the second half, but this could so easily be another terrible result and its simply not good enough how many games this season have been like this.

I just hope we dont go into next season with greenwood as our RW. He doesnt offer enough of a threat. I wont even consider James a starter down there.

Bring on Amad and Shoretire for Maguire and Bailly and overload the attack.
