    Nope, he needs to be in the box. We don’t need 2 deep midfielders Matic isn’t effecting the game properly, too safe as usual.

    Bruno is far too high. We can’t get the ball to him. There was times where the defender had the ball in the centre of the pitch, Fred was in the centre circle, and Bruno was 20 yards directly behind him.

    What kind of shape is that? Most teams play in triangles, while we’re just fecking stood there.
     
    On the plus side we have not conceded, always hope that Bruno will produce something.
     
    We play like this way too often for me to believe there has or will be any significant improvement any time soon. This is absolute dross.
     
    Why is AWB so hesitant to put in crosses? When he does they look good but he usually just stops and passes it back. We have guys in the box. Get it in...

    Henderson came for 2 balls that De Gea would have stayed on his line for. Because of that CP had no scoring chances but they may have very well had 2 chances if De Gea was in goal...

    Sideways, backwards, sideways, backwards, sideways, backwards, to Shaw who crosses it to one of 5 guys surrounding Cavani.
    Meanwhile, Rashford, Greenwood etc all stand around watching and looking gormless.
     
    I feel like Bruno is footballing equivalent of a love child between Cantona and Hossam Ghaly
     
    We really should have done more with the possession and chances we had. We're playing comfortably and perhaps within ourselves but we need the goals to show for it.

    What pressure? We have passed the ball to death and done nothing with it apart from a few half shots (Rashford, Greenwood then Matic).
     
    At what point does the coach start bearing responsibility for performances like this which are by far and away the norm?

    Even the one Wan Bissaka put in, there should two or three players trying to get on the end of it. Our midfielders are sitting on the halfway line.
     
    Started like shit as usual.

    Then for about 10 minutes we looked good, created good chances probably should have scored.

    Then after that just shit again.

    We've become a very boring team to watch in the last 6 or 7 weeks
     
    1st half analysis:

    - Greenwood gave the ball away numerous times
    - Bruno gave ball away numerous times
    - Bruno threw his arms up in the air to blame his team mates when he gave the ball away numerous times

    Matic really slows our play down... whilst he's holding onto the ball and deciding who to pass to, he allows the Palace players to get back into shape.

    Given how frequent this is, it really is amazing we're second. Is this the worst the quality of the league has been in decades (with the covid no-preseason provision)?

    There's the early Rashford chance. Should have been a goal. There was also another one after it by Bruno.

    The last cross from AWB to Cavani should have been a goal if not for that great clearance.

    It's not a magnificent performance but I think we should be leading this 1-0.
     
    An image of Ole strolling off down the touchline having a laugh with a Palace coach doesn’t do much for my mood after that 45 minutes. I despair sometimes.
     
    Tempo of a testimonial match. Uniteds passing and decision making in the final 3rd has been poor. Palace and Hodgson will be delighted as if things continue as they are at least a point will be gained.

    Worst kept secret in English football is that once you look past the headlines, United are no better with Bruno than they were before. We’re so, so far from posting 90 points and challenging for a title.

    Problem is a lot of our players just stand still waiting for the ball to arrive at their feet. There is hardly any movement.
     
    Keep going down the left, alot, when we use AWB and Greewood, it's not as good, this looks like another damp game like the weather. Major improvement needed in 2nd half. Bruno looks like he needs more room as before he was finding space with ease, last few games his passes are not quite there, he was like that at Sporting as well, at times this is something were going to get with him, but still good without the ball that does not change. Pogba would open something up in games like this need him back.
     
    Bruno is a strange one. Given how wasteful he is he might as well be playing for the opponent for most of the match and then suddenly pop up with an assist.
